Bay Breeze Golf Course
About
As the name should imply, the Bay Breeze Golf Course is located right off of a back bay where the wind is a factor all day long.
There are water hazards that come into play on nine of the 18 holes. Bay Breeze Golf Course's signature hole is No. 10, a 180-yard, par-3, with a breathtaking view of the bay that borders the course. Since the course is on an Air Force base, the terrain is flat. There are trees spaced throughout the course. The greens are large and well bunkered.
Bay Breeze, designed by Nathan Crace, measures 6,563 yards from the longest tees and has a slope rating of 121 and a 69.5 USGA rating. The course features two sets of tees for different skill levels.
The military course, which opened in 1962, is open to Air Force personnel and their guests.

Very improved
The new Golf Pro has really improved the course overall. The greens are manicured and the rough areas are playable. Sand traps are well maintained.
Get a pass first
Course wasn't bad but they had a women's tournament there and they tried to fit us in and pace of play was extremely slow.
Make sure you get there early because you will have to get a pass to get on the base.and that will take you about an half hour or so.
No play allowed without proper pre-authorization
Be careful - golf course is on a military base!
Make sure you get to the course in advance. I had a 11 o'clock Golfnow tee time, but when I came to the gate of the military base at 10.30 they didn't let me pass. I had no military id or clearance from the golf course. The guards sent me to their visitor center 1 mile away, where they called the golf course for an email confirming my booking. Unfortunately the person, who is authorized to confirm reservations and give clearance was not available. So I was asked to come back later or next day and try again.
Long wait
Great course for the price, but had to wait an hour to get on base. It was closed to visitors and had to wait for someone to come and escort us on. Once we got to the course the people were great and also the course.
an air force base
Make sure you have Id to get on the course and ask before driving there….GPS useless. Had a ball, watch a hercules take off, a sikorsky pilot ingraining and fireworks to get rid of the testy birds on the tarmacs. A tricky course, nice greens but the bunkers are few
