Overall, a decent course in good condition. The greens are starting to come apart though. The grass is getting a little sparse, making for bumpy putts that don't always hold the line. The starter did tell me that they intend to rehab the greens in June. The layout isn't too challenging, so it is good for couples and families. If you want a bigger challenge, the "Hidden Cypress" course at Sun Lakes is a lot tougher and in good shape.

Okatie has over-seeded their fairways and greens. The fairways are in great shape. The greens were a little thin but rolled smooth and moderately fast. The course sticks to the tee time schedule and is rangered. Pace of play was good even though they were busy due to 60 degree weather in January. Overall I thought the course was great. We played it from the tournament tees (gold) just over 6,400 yards. It was fair but made you hit everything in your bag. I will play Okatie Creek again.
