Old South Golf Links

I always play Old South when in HHI/Bluffton. This visit was a late afternoon 9, but whether 9 or 18 this is a fun and varied golf course with a mix of open, wooded, and challenging bayside holes (on either 9). Built for golf and not through a development, it has the best bay views of the courses I've played here. The staff is friendly and helpful and the course is set up to be fun for all levels of player.

4 1/2 hour round greens were great except for a few spots that had some disease overall a great course

Greens were very slow. Fairways were full of spots of funky growth.

Everything about this course is positive, greens,fairways and traps always well maintained. layout is challenging and interesting.

Played on a gorgeous morning on this beautiful course. Play was on pace and course was interesting. A few greens had some damaged areas and all were running slow.

OSL is sneaky challenging. There’s a lot of fairway undulations, varied green sizes, elevated greens & carries over hazards & water. The course & greens are in good shape for this time of year. Very friendly & accommodating staff all around.

The pace of play was very slow - almost 5 hours and some of dog leg holes were hokey - over extended penalty areas with limited landing opportunities. The staff was great but we will not return.

Got off as a single before my tee time. Two players joined up with me and we had a great time. Two or three funky holes on the back nine but otherwise a very nice layout. The greens are not heavily bunkered. Nice driving range and putting green. I play again.

Only problem
S were very slow greens and the course design has some areas that slow the pace of play.
