Failed to meet my minimum expectations

We checked the web site before booking and didn't have the highest expectations. We were greeted by a less than engaging man at the pro shop, who said our cart may or may not have enough power to make it sound the course.... Who said he didn't know if there was anyone working "if" something did go wrong. Who said the restaurant has not been open for 3 years.....

For a par 3 course, sometimes it is the people who make a difference and we did not find this to be so at this GC.

Not a real golf course

In short: If you’re a local - enjoy an early morning target practice free of charge. Do not ever pay to play a round of golf here.

There is literally zero grass here. It is not in any condition for even the worst of clubs. And there is nobody to even check that you’ve paid in the morning - do not waste your money paying on golf now.

However, if you’re a local and want to swing by early in the morning, have fun with a little target practice! Just don’t waste your money and actually pay!

This Course should not be on golf now

I had not play this course in close to a year and its worse now than it was then. I don't even understand why golf now would allow this to be on there site. we payed for 18 holes and played seven. From the time we got there till we left it felt like it was closed. What I mean is the road going into the place was over grown and I missed the turn, when we got turned around, the sign was practically falling down. The road in was full of river rock and had washed down from the hill that you descend from. There were a few work trucks in the parking lot. We walked into the building which had double doors wide open and ounce inside realized in was hotter inside than out. There was a guy sitting behind the counter which asked to see my golf now confirmation, on the wall was a sign that said nine dollars to walk 18 holes, bare in mind I paid more on golf now which was a hot deal. We proceeded out to the first tee box which was pretty much the same as the whole course sand and weeds. The first pin was not standing along with all the other seven holes we played until we left. Im just as disappointed in golf now as this course for allowing people who use this site to be taking advantaged of this way.

Worst course in Tucson

I have been to some terrible courses in my day but I was still able to play.

At this course, it is all dirt including the green. You will not have a good time. Trust me. Please stay far away

Cow Pasture Pool

The course has not been maintained for two years. It is yellow weeds from tee to green. It is in sad shape. I would not recommend this golf course to anyone.

First the man checking me in tried to change the conditions of my play from riding to walking and from 18 holes to 9. The greens were rough, like playing plinko, the ball bounced around. The fairways were practically non existent, more sand and weeds than grass. I was the only one on the course so the pace of play was really not an issue.

Not worth your time

Course very run down. Broken, leaning flags on greens worse than most fairways. Most off green shots are on gravel. One green was half sand, and most greens don't appear mowed and have weeds growing in them. Don't waste your time here.

Short Iron work!!

Quail Canyon is so bad it is almost not even a golf course!
However , while the greens are really bad they are very small and great for getting your Irons dialed in. If you can hit these greens you can hit any greens. Another positive is that there is almost never anyone else there you can hit two or three tee shots at each hole if you would like!! It’s also great to bring new golfers without the pressure to hurry along.

Disappointed

Quail Canyon GC was not in good shape. It looked like no one cared to keep it up!
Could be a fun little par 3 course if in better shape.

Peaceful and no pressure from other people

The only problem I had (besides my game of course!) was #5. Turns out #5 & #14 are the same T box. From the cart path I was on I could see the info for#14 and the back of another rusty sign. Finally on a different path I discovered the front of that rusty sign was #5 info. It would have been nice if this was shown on the map or explained to me. Also would have been nice to know the white markers were the first nine and red markers the back nine.... could have figured out my T box dilemma much easier.... because the front and back nine are surrounded by each other.

Not So Good

This is the first time that my wife and I have played this course and it will be the last. Very simple executive part three course which we played in under two hours. Good as far as all that goes but the condition of the greens was terrible including one which was partially covered with sand for some reason. Could be so nice as it is in its own secluded little valley but no effort has been put into maintaining the course.

Ummmm...

Every hole is between 100-150 yards
Bring your desert set.
Tee boxes are mostly dirt, with dead grass and markers to hit between.
Fairways? Non existent, but it's a par 3.
There is a dirt cart path somewhere, but you can't tell if it's the path or what supposed to be the fairway.
Greens....well, they are green thanks to the paint. All dead grass.
The "greens" are very small. There is only 1-2 cups per green and I'm sure they switch positions yearly. The cups were all dug out a few inches wider than what they should be.
No ball washers, and the only trash can was overflowing. Probably hadn't been emptied in weeks.
Mostly regulars play, and they know the deal. We played through 4-5 groups and finished 18 in 1:30.

This course could be good

I feel like this course should be part of a KOA camp ground , the greens are spotty and patchy , the flags don't all stand up straight in the hole , I think that is due to the wind which in turn has made the flag stick elongate the hole . But on a bright note this is a cheap east way to work on your short game (145 & less minus putting ). It's like playing target golf and the greens are small so you have to be right on

Disappointing experience.

Golf now advertised fee included cart. There were only 4 carts for the entire course. We were provided pull carts with some handles not properly drilled to fit the bolt needed.
