Long Frost Delay, but worth the wait
Over an hour delay due to frost, course was in very good shape, the staff did an excellent job getting players out. Very slow play, sand traps are better, but still NOT enough sand!
Good recovery from two hour frost delay
Had 12:01 tee time, only waited about an hour to tee off. Pretty slow play, but actually finished 18 holes as the sun went down.
Great course, good food with Bar…
Course was in good condition….fairways were immaculate, greens good. Holes were pretty narrow but fair. greens were firm, need to hit the front of the green to hold most shots unless a wedge or short iron. My group had fun, we will go again.
Only complaint was to golf now for their over $40 fee…we got to the course thinking we already made a deposit and they said that was for golf now and doesn’t go towards your green fees. Guess I’ll just call in a tee time next time. Last time using golf now
Save your money.. It’s overpriced
First time playing this course. Paid $40 for a 4pm tee time. They charge a Ride along fee for passengers?? For the quality of the course they shouldn’t be charging this much. I’ve been to other courses in Tucson which are in far better shape. Note that they have frisbee golf on this course. I got stuck behind a group that wouldn’t let us pass.
Go somewhere else! I definitely won’t be returning. 👎🏻
. Average course.
Good course, very slow play. They definitely could use a marshall. Greens were rock hard
Best Shape in years
Awesome condition from tee to green! Pace of play was very slow. Overall a great day!
I didn’t receive a frost delay text or email
No frost delay warning left me waiting to tee off almost two hours, however it allowed me time to experience the meat lovers omelette and an awesome tequila sunrise from the kitchen and bar. That meat lovers omelette made for an awesome breakfast.
El rio
Need marshal. Overwatered. Twigs and branch’s need to be removed
A bit contrived.
This feels like a small town course. The holes are very close together with little separation. It is pretty forgiving though because there is quite a bit of grass, unlike many desert courses here in Tucson. Not one you will rave about, but nice to get a round in with family or friends. The greens were really shaggy, making putting a little more challenging.
El Rio
1. They have a nice range and practice facility, however, they don’t tell you it is often not available to the public because they have First Tee activities. 2. Don’t go to the nice building with the range, that’s not the club house. Walk to the other end of the parking lot. 3. Other than mentioned, nice muni. Good walking course.
Nice condition
Unfortunately, it was cart path only, so lots of walking. No notice about that, but the course was in pretty good condition, and the greens were excellent, although a little slow
Would like dead branches cleaned up from downed trees. Fairways are strewn with debris. With a little work I would give it five stars.
