Nice day
Used a promo code I got from other bookings - killer deal. For a summer afternoon the temp wasn't too bad and there were only a few other players. Very nice day.
Custumer concern
Want to give Jacub the starter he was so concerned about me and the heat he brought me a cup of ice water and bag of ice for my neck. That was amassaing to me and very helpful . THANK YOU !!!
Do they want business?
Pay for my round with my dad on Father’s Day and got no direction of what to do as in getting a cart where the starter is at followed by someone yelling ,” do you need a cart if so it’s over there with the others “ in a sarcastic attitude. There is no signs that help you out at all….. the starter has one job and couldn’t even do that right by putting a simple scorecard on the cart and why does that matter so much ?! Because the course at every hole is just labeled with a number …. No yardage no par number and the cart could have been donated bc the seat was so torn and covered with duct tape … normally I don’t ever and I mean EVER write a review but this course and staff was probably the reason you never hear anyone say ,” hey you wanna play Fred enke? NO they don’t it’s Tucson az and summer time and can’t even put water jugs on the course granted they have a couple water fountains that deliver super warm water but good luck playing 18 holes comfortably…. Honestly don’t even know how or why it stays open…. Pretty depressing but all said my first time playing there in the 25 years of golfing and can say it’s the last. Thanks Fred enke for making something supposed to be fun literally worse playing experience I’ve had
Enke
Large chipping area, decent putting green. Driving range was so-so, hitting area was good and had yard markers but I prefer to hit into grass area not dirt. Course was in good shape except for the sand traps were packed hard like hitting off dirt. Desert type course, not much shade and if you miss hit the fairway your ball is in desert brush. Fairways and greens were in good shape. Good value for the money. Not very busy, probably due to the temperature getting warming but I thought it was comfortable.
Fast fairways and greens
This time of year, May, things dry out and greens and fairways become fast. If your ball lands outside of the grass you will likely loose it. So the course challenges you to control that ball! Surprised that they don’t use electric carts.
5 some
Had a 5 some in front of us that slowed us down till went around them
