Course needs care and love
It’s been a few years since I last played Silverbell golf course. Wow, it really needs help in its condition. While the green fee was cheap, so was overall conditions of this course. Just really dry in rough condition. Weird layout can be overlooked but certainly not the lack of grass in many areas.
For the $.... play here
All things about Silverbell work well but the course punishes you if you miss a fairway. Just hard pan and bare ground. For a desert course it's understandable and I did enjoy playing and at $39 noone can complain the course's value.
Don't waste your money
The course is a public/city course and is not well kept. The fairways/roughs/areas around the greens are not nice and hard as a rock with minimal nice grass. IT IS VERY OVERPRICED FOR THE VERY POOR CONDITIOINS.
Don't go here
Haven't played this course is about 5 years - and it will be another 5 before I forget how bad this course is. Not much real grass, lots of dirt, greens with weeds, bunkers with rocks - 17th Tee box has a sewer pipe next to it. Bathrooms are porta potties, carts are patched with duck tape or not patched at all. Pro shop computer down,
Won't be back.
Not worth the money or time
Course was in terrible condition. Only 4-5 greens actually smooth enough to know where your puts were going. Virtually no grass in fairways or rough. Will not golf here again.
Won't play again
This course was in HORRIBLE condition particularly the greens. The only salvation was the $31 fee from Golfnow.
Dirt is easier to play on
0 stars is not a even good enough for this course. Even when a good shot is hit in the middle of the fairway, you are hitting of grass that looks like a rolled drive over it. For the money you pay to play golf you expect to hit off grass. Not rocks and dirt with grass sprinkled in.
Will be back
You get what you pay for. Greens definitely need some love on many holes. Good variety of desert like holes including water.
Disappointed
I have played Silverbell in the past and was satisfied with the course condition, but on this occasion, I could not have been more disappointed. There is literally no grass in the fairways and the greens were anything but green. I don't know what has happened to the course, but I hope they find a way to bring it back to life.
They should be embarrassed charging the fee I paid to deliver a course in this condition.
