The golf cart are suppose to be replaced October/November, much needed! Hole #3 is a muddy mess, but always has been! The course is in its best shape in months with what the have to work with. It’s in a river bottom and takes a beating when we get measurable rain. Overall, better than it’s been in a long time! Continue to improve. Staff is always great🤩
This course was poor at best
Starting out the Carts are in poor condition mine the steering wheel pulled right all day. Most tee boxes were chewed up…the fairways were more dirt and mud than grass. So even from the middle I’m still hitting off solid ground and resulting poor shots and a terrible experience. The greens were slow and seemed to be patchy with different grasses causing inconsistent play. I will not be returning to this course. If I could have demanded my money back I would have.
Chula Vista - First time.
People were great. Fairways were in terrible conditions. Several holes with majority in dirt with no grass. Well managed, poorly maintained.
Just Don't - Even if It's Inexpensive
You will be disappointed. Worst shape golf course I had ever played. Almost a 5 hour round too! Just play elsewhere.
Terrible Fairways
Fairways were some of the worst I’ve experienced. Greens were less than decent and could use some work. Bunkers were fine. Pace of play was initially good, but slowed considerably on the back 9.
Course was over crowded and in terrible condition
9 holes took 3:15 min. We had a six some two groups in front of us and it didn’t seem to bother the marshal. Worst one of play I’ve ever experienced and the course looked and played like a dog track
Needs a lot of Maintenance !
The greens a degraded, the fairways are degraded, some tees are like concrete, the path is hard to navigate, the beer is very expensive. I’ve played other municipal courses for about the same price that are 10x better, try Oceanside Municipal.
More brown than green fairways
Virtually every fairway (especially #3) required a move of the ball to some grass (when you could find it).
Great Staff, Horrible Conditions
Staff was incredibly nice. Greens are patchy and not consistent. Fairways are mainly dirt patches.
Needs Improvement
This could be a good course but at it current state, it is not well maintained course. Fairways are really bad, tee boxes are hard and the pace of play was unbearable. I left after 12 holes.
They should pay you to play here
One of the worst golf courses I’ve ever stepped foot on. Conditions were abysmal and pace of play couldn’t have been slower. Don’t waste your money.
A slow round was tough with the thin fairways. Long, challenging but needs fairway work and better pacing for the tee times
