Oceanside Golf Course

Front 9 was really dried out. Space between fairways is light gravel which is great to save water but not great for play.

Fun & challenging course. Great greens! Fast pace even on a Saturday. Will def be back

It had been a while since I’ve played here. The course is in much better shape than I remembered it. Pace of play is always a tad slow (5hours), but I expected it here.
Some of the friendliest staff that you’ll find at any course in the county.

Really had a great time, course is challenging but not onerous. Greens are in very good condition. Lack of rail has hurt the fairways a little but overall a good course.

A diamond in the rough.

It has a gentle breeze throughout the course. And when you play in the summer time that is critical. The course is 95% efficient In water use.

It’s a tough course but not championship. It is clean and well-maintained.

Since it is a diamond in the rough not many people played as he should. Mid week is normally pretty good without much delay.

So if you want of course the place with not too much delay this is what you’re missing.

So Oceanside is a pretty nice course. When we played we were told the greens are in the best condition that have been in a little while and they were. The course it self is a little challenging which I like. Most holes give you sole room for error but there are some tight and hidden dog legs that can be hard to negotiate. The shop staff was friendly and helpful. The reservation went though didn via Golf Now and we were even allowed to tee off earlier than we booked for. The pace of play was excellent, my firs title playing in a while where i wasn’t jammed up at one hole or another. Apparently while it’s a pretty decent course they don’t get much people which one of the locals told me.

The only gripe I have about the place is every time i go, the bartender is one of those, “what do you want” kinda servers, sort of just rude. An older woman that was busy talking to the regulars to the point where she walked by me twice before I got a chance to order at the turn, which wa strange to me because I was literally the only person that walked in and I went straight up to the bar. I wouldn’t say avoid the place because of that experience itself, as to be honest MOST Golf Clubs I’ve been to have a vet at the bar that doesn’t really care for anyone except the locals.

Anyway, if you are in a jam, the tee times here we’re close together and as i said it was almost empty at noon on a Sunday, so we got to tee off at 11. There aren’t any water obstacles but there is a small lake that gives off a cooler breeze once you get around it.

It’s definitely worth giving a try if you haven’t.

What's not to like... friendly staff, cart with power, fast greens, and good pace. It is a muni. Golfed with my buddy. We both killed it on the front nine. Struggled on the back. The course isn't one to devour balls. That's a plus. Give it a shot.

My buddy and I decide to try this course. The rate was attractive. The course is long and challenging, but it is a muni. I liked that it was the type of course that does not devour balls. Most of the course becomes a wind tunnel when there's a southerly wind. Greens and fairways in good shape!

We were afraid the day would be crowded.
Played after 12 and hardly anyone else on the course.
Some of the fairways were a bit dry but the greens were perfect. The course seemed long but maybe we were just taking our time and enjoying our day.
Staff was great. Evened tightened one of my clubs for me .
We'll definitely be back.

Course was our first time. drove from mission vejo to try it out. course was ok, fairways and others weren't in the best shape. rocks everywhere. greens were better then expected but needs to be rolled . weather that day was the worst. about 18 to up to 26 mile a hour winds. that was the downside. pace was ok. alot of jumpers, would come back for twilight less then 15bucks is worth it.

Completed a round in under 3.5 hours on a Saturday afternoon, which is crazy. It was cloudy, but no rain, a little wind, but conditions were good. The course was a great value, greens were pretty good, some challenging holes, cart attendant serving drinks available if desired. They also have a great bar for a little 19th hole action. I enjoyed the round, thank you!
