Great course
This is one of my favorite courses. The fairways and greens are well maintained, and it’s a tough course, definitely keeps you on your toes!
A must play
We were stuck behind men's club tournament, so played the front nine twice- course condition was above average, some of the cart paths were dirt and needed some attention, greens rolled great, well designed but not easy for beginning player- bar closes at 4:00 so usual beers after round were out- no cart girl so will bring ice chest next time
This course has great greens
Made a mistake in booking this course. Call Kent at pro shop and explain my mistake and said come on in and we get u out Thanks so much. Great course a lot of blind shots to make interesting. Thanks Hunters Ranch I will be back
Paso golf
Great day. Practically alone on the course. Slick greens! Two or three of the holes seem a bit gimmicky in layout. But overall a great experience
Great condition
Hunter Ranch is in excellent condition right now. Greens are absolutely superb. They are rolling super smooth at a nice fast pace. Fairways have filled in nicely from the winter conditions. Fairways are nice and lush and offer a good amount of roll out. Only a few brown spots throughout the course which given the water shortage right now Iit’s understandable. Bunkers have high quality sand Most tee boxes are level with ample coverage.
Staff is friendly and the restaurant is great as well.
The layout at Hunter Ranch is super fun. Well worth the drive and price of admission
Back 9 is tough.
Would recommend this course. White tees were very challenging. Blue, extremely difficult. Had a great time.
Fun course, good condition
Interesting and challenging course.
Value for what I paid was very good, definitely will play here again next time I’m in town.
Great greens, pace of play disappointingly slow.
Course was in good condition, fast rolling contoured greens with an interesting undulating course layout. I played on a Saturday with a slow group ahead. Unfortunately there was no Marshal available to police it. Overall a great course to play when you want a break from wine tasting in the great Paso Robles area.
The Ranch
Great course if weather is in your favor !! Mid 70’s little to no wind made for an enjoyable round this is a challenging back 9 and fast greens if it’s windy and in the temps are high , good luck !
Tough track, well maintained
We hit this course once a year, on our way down to Carrizo Plain. It's a tough test with some difficult tee shots, fast contoured greens, and plenty of hazards to gobble up golf balls. Pace of play was a tad slow, but that's to be expected on a Sunday afternoon. Last year we played both Hunter Ranch and Paso Robles CC. This year we just played Hunter Ranch twice, since it outshines PRCC by a wide margin. Highly recommended!
Great course and staff
Beautiful course in great shape tee to green. Plays tough but a great experience.
My only negative is why close the bar and restaurant at 4:00 PM? Seems like they’re leaving a lot of money on the table?

Rode the Blues (6751/72.1/136) in just under 4H with Spenser, Ralph and Javi mid day on a GN "Hot Deal". Sunny, calm and around 75. Challenging course in nice overall condition.
Tees were mostly level/lush and well maintained for divots.
Fairways mostly lush and good to play from.
Rough was fairly lush close to the fairway. Thick even though mostly mowed down. Thinner the farther you got from the fairway to hardpan under the huge oaks.
Sand traps had good quality sand and were very well maintained.
Large, undulating greens were smooth, quick and firm. They rolled very nicely, holding irons with minor run out.
Customer service very good. Quick efficient check in. Drink cart around a couple of times, and an open Restaurant @ the turn. Nice carts with GPS. All grass range is okay. Both the layout and the greens are well above average. Best course on the Central Coast IMO, definitely recommended
