Overall Good
Course was in overall good conditions with fairways nice, most tee boxes were nice, and the greens were running true. The rough was extremely long like Torrey Pines during tournament long. It was hard to find your ball if it was not in the fairway. Pace of play was pretty good for how many people were out. Our round was 4 hours. The only complaint on the day was the pins were all in very weird positions, almost all were within 6’ of the edges. Some less than 4’ from the edge of the green. This seemed a little extreme.
Needs improvement
The only thing we really liked was that the fairways greens were in good shape
The pace of play was horrible, no Marshall regulating. It should never take over 5 1/2 hrs to complete 18 holes, which we didn't even get a full 18 holes in before calling it quits.
Paid $20 a person for cart fee which are 1st cart did t work properly, then when they came to replace it the cart didn't have any amenities on it
Won't pay to play here again
Beautiful Course...Pace of Play has to Improve to Stink
A beautiful course and great staff. The pace of play, however, leaves much to be desired. Unfortunately, there did not appear to be a marshal on the course and as a result allowed several groups to lag over an hour behind the stated "pace".
Amazing Course!!
I’ve played this course once before but never the stonehouse course and I have to say that it was some of the most fun and challenging golf I’ve ever had the pleasure of playing. I will absolutely be back to play and i will make sure to recommend TCI to anyone looking for a fun challenge 👍🏻
Cart Fee
Played several times this summer on Hot Deals. It seems they are no longer comping the cart fee. All previously times they comped with no extra fee. Now they are charging an extra $20 at course so take that into consideration. On Hot deals probably not worth it at $49 plus $20. Guy who booked direct had it cheaper. Nice course and friendly staff. Just wont be going back soon at $70 at a twilight time.
Overall a great experience though…
The pace was slower than expected, but it was twilight. We never saw a marshal the entire afternoon, which seemed strange. The new golf carts were great!!! The speakers… the very comfortable seats! Our only complaint would be, for the price we paid, there was an unusual amount of trash all over the golf course areas. We are not used to that back home in Hawaii, where we play at some highly desirable resort courses.
Temecula Creek Inn is Awesome
A beautiful course which winds through the hills next to interstate highway 15. (Stonehouse 9). The Oaks 9 was more open and amenable to scoring. Greens were true although I thought they could use a little speed. Exellent condition all around. Thanks to Lyman for showing me around the course.
Very consistent greens
The course is playing very consistent and not too dried out .. a fun course to play whichever 9 you choose. The one thing , I was charged for 2 players instead of one.. who do I deal with about that ?
Great food, Great Golf, Good Gracious!
Our entire golf get-away was AMAZING! The service by Jade for breakfast was fantastic! The food - coddled eggs?? SO GOOD! The golf course is in great condition. We had a wonderful time!
Mixed reactions
Played Stonehouse 9 first & did not like the layout— too many blind spots and difficult target shots needed. Course was in good condition. Cart was excellent. No restroom found on the Stonehouse nine and getting water at the turn late afternoon meant going upstairs to the bar— needed water on a hot afternoon so took the time. For the back nine we were assigned to the Oaks nine which was much more playable. At this stage we were a twosome on a cart & play moved quickly so we finished in under 4 hours. Course has apparently seen some upgrades under new ownership. Would play there again but would try to avoid the Stonehouse nine.
