Mixed reactions
Played Stonehouse 9 first & did not like the layout— too many blind spots and difficult target shots needed. Course was in good condition. Cart was excellent. No restroom found on the Stonehouse nine and getting water at the turn late afternoon meant going upstairs to the bar— needed water on a hot afternoon so took the time. For the back nine we were assigned to the Oaks nine which was much more playable. At this stage we were a twosome on a cart & play moved quickly so we finished in under 4 hours. Course has apparently seen some upgrades under new ownership. Would play there again but would try to avoid the Stonehouse nine.
Great course
The course is well maintained. Always a pleasure playing all 3 courses ( stonehouse, creek, oak )
Course quality was very good
Greens, tees & fairways were most agreeable, very friendly & helpful staff.
Looking forward to the next round.
Not what I would have expected!
Played w some old friends and had a good time but the tee boxes and bunkers were really beat up for the $$$ spent! Fairways were nice and greens were quick. For nearly a $100 round I would expect rakes at all bunkers and sand traps. Tee boxes were an absolute mess, I dont ever remember tees in that bad of shape. Greens were OK, I would think people paying and playing these courses would fix their ball marks and others they find as they walk the greens. With the condition of the course it would justify $60. Bottom line We had a good time but not sure I would go back.
The Creek
Over all experience is great, golf course layouts are great, fairways are somewhat maintained for the most part, the only issue is the $10 extra fee for the golf cart on top of the green fee. Most courses the carts are included. All in all it was a good experience and I will definitely comeback to play and recommend it to friends.
Too long for me.
The white tees are around 6300-6400 and the reds are at 5400. It would nice to have a 5800-5900 set. Most par 4’s we a 3-5 wood to the green with a 190-200 yard drive.
Great Shape and Excellent Greens
Course was in great shape for the most part and greens were fabulous. My only complaint was no snack bar at the turn and upstairs restaurant gave us a 20 min wait time for any food. Understandable due to current staffing issues seen everwhere but maybe transfer some snacks or pre-made sandwiches upstairs if you have too close early. Teed off at 11:20 made turn at 1:30ish so we were disappointed no service was available.
Not that walkable on Stonehouse :(
If you like to walk, then ask for a teatime not on stonehouse. Way too hilly. They other ones are perfectly fine. This course layout isn’t too bad actually, and maybe I would’ve enjoyed it more on a cart. But wanted to put this disclaimer to the people who don’t want to pay extra for cart.
Interesting and very different 9s
Stay away from Storehouse 9 in the afternoon
Besides the blind tee shots abs even blind second shots very hilly
That I can tolerate as a single digit handicap player but throw in strong winds and I definitely don’t want to play Stonehouse 9 in the afternoon
The Oaks 9 much nicer even with some wind
Great staff and friendly starter
Driving range ? Was expecting better gif upscale course
I will play again just avoid the hilly & windy 9
