The Calibogue & The Haig at Haig Point Club
About
With 20 holes comprising the Calibouge and Haig courses and designed by Rees Jones, the Haig Point Club is an exclusive, private club located in Daufuskie Island, across the Calibogue Sound from Hilton Head Island. "I had never seen a property quite like Haig Point ... with such a pristine setting and all the elements to create a great golf course," Jones has said of Haig Point. "It has the ocean, the sound, the marshes, fantastic vegetation ... I knew when I first saw it we could build a world-class golf course." The course is one that maximizes its location. Many of the holes feature coastline and forced carries. Lush island forests will be a part of your day at this club, which is only accessible via ferry. "The Haig Point Club is just a great mixture of spectacular views and golf," said a TravelGolf.com writer.

Worth the Ferry Trip
Love this place! If you are looking for a different experience off the beaten path this place is it! We were treated so well by everyone! The golf course is so much fun, greens are great, and some of the shots you have to hit make it second to none. Patricia in the grill room took great care of us, and Cameron and Steve were the best! I highly recommend it.
A Special Place
The Haig Point course, with its incredible views of Calibogue Sound is a pleasure to play. The unique routing option (Calibogue or Haig tees) makes it especially enjoyable, regardless of your skill level. The greens were as good as any I have played, and rolled true and at a nice pace (many would call them fast).
Amazing Views & Challenging Course
We absolutely love playing the signature course @ Haig Point!! Beautiful views, challenging play & some of the best people around!!
What a stunning Lowcountry course
One of the most beautiful golf courses in South Carolina, Haig Point takes my breath away. It’s a long, challenging course with well placed bunkers and pristine greens. I love the expansive views of the Calibogue Sound and Harbour Town. If you’re in the area, you need to play this course.
Great course layout with incredible par 3’s
The par threes are as scenic as any group of par threes I’ve ever played. The course is tight but kept in incredible condition. Greens roll true. The surrounding and the natural beauty provide the character fitting of a first class golf venue.
Member and Guest Challenge
You just can’t beat the condition, views, pace of play and THE Staff.
Awesome Course, Beautiful Settting - A Must Play
This was my first time play Haig Point golf course and it did not disappoint. I have played many times on Dafuskie Island, but I had never played Haig Point.
The Calibogue Course great. The course layout is awesome with some beautiful golf holes. All the par three holes have two sets of tees form which you can choose to hit from. At Haig Point, there are three nine hole courses each of which are great, fun and all have beautiful holes with ocean views. The course is terrific with no two holes alike.
The fairways are lined with oak trees which are draped in Spanish moss. The course layout works it way around wetlands, marshes and ocean views on at least five holes. Haig Point is one of the best courses on the Atlantic Coast, and that includes its neighbor, right across the sound, Harbour Town Golf Links.
The fairways were lush, full and have lots of up and down slopes. The greens are fast, smooth with lots of slopes and undulations which makes the greens challenging and fun.
If you get the chance, take the opportunity to play Haig Point. There is tons of wildlife to see on the course. We saw lots of deer, armadillo, racoon, alligators, water fowl, and hawks. It was a great day of golf.
Great course, Must play if on Hilton Head
The most beautiful golf course I have played in SC. Some very challenging holes with spectacular views of the ocean. A must play if you are in the Hilton Head area.
Haig Point one of a kind, like Daufuski Island
Plain and simple, the Signature Course at Haig Point is remarkable. Not only is it a gorgeous layout, but Rees Jones did something really brilliant: he designed it to be extremely flexible. The course in certain areas has Haig tees and Calibogue tees. The former has few forced carries, while the Calibogue tees challenges the better player going over wetlands and ponds. Even more brilliant is that there are two additional Calibogue holes, giving the course 20 holes in all. These additional holes, both par 3s, are close to the Calibogue Sound on the Atlantic Ocean. It would seem that they are susceptible to severe hurricane damage, so much so that if they were wiped out, they probably couldn't be rebuilt. That would leave 18 holes intact, and while those terrific holes would be missed, the course would still be excellent. All that aside, this is a terrific layout with no two holes alike. Lined with majestic live oaks draped in Spanish moss, working their way around wetlands and ocean views on at least five holes, makes this one of the best courses on the Atlantic Coast, and that includes its neighbor, right across the sound, Harbour Town Golf Links.
Great day on the Calibogue Course
Greens were absolutely perfect. Great layout with many choices of tees to play. Beautiful holes with views of the Calibogue Sound and the Atlantic Ocean. Staff was great from the ferry ride to the golf club.
How did you me the tee time?
