Apache Creek Golf Club
About
Although there are many other desert golf courses in the Phoenix area, Apache Creek Golf Club offers one challenging championship course that requires the use of every club. The golf course features wide open fairways and undulating greens that are sloped back to front, some are also double-tiered. There are also numerous sand and grass bunkers protecting the fairways and greens. Extensive mounding on the course cause uneven lies and water hazards come into play on a few holes. The most difficult of the several demanding holes on this golf course, is the lengthy par-5, 10th hole. Apache Creek Golf Club also boasts two practice greens, a pitching and chipping green with a sand trap, and a large driving range with various targets.

Greens and approach areas were excellent. Good pace of play.
Fun but not worth the money
Fun course and was not busy with snowbirds… we had 3 golfers, two 15 handicaps and my son who plays in from the 150 mark. We finished in just over 3 hours and did not rush anything. Greens were fun and well read, the only downside is the cost. This is not an $80-$90 course. That’s a greedy cash grab mindset leeching the snowbirds in the area. This is a course that should be $50-60 max. I’d be here every day if it was more reasonably priced.
Goat track
Overcharged by about 30 dollars versus what golfnow said would be due at the course. Never again.
Terrible
Reserved for two people, one couldn’t make it so I played alone. I got charged for two and also did not pay the rate that I was scheduled for. Rip off. Never play here
Painted fairways
Greens were very nice and 10 feet around the greens were nice but the fairways were dormant brown grass painted green. Not worth the $70 in my opinion.
First thoughts
Played first time on this course. Very open course,, around the greens and the greens are very enjoyable. Greens are quick and very true. Course is long enough I can work on my hole game.
Fun
Everything went well & enjoyed our round golf!
We enjoyed the couple we were paired up with.
We had a wonderful time.
Fairway’s are in terrible condition
I’ve played Apache Creek 10+ times and have never seen the fairways in such bad shape. Greens and tee boxes are great but looks like they skipped over seeding the fairways this winter.
Still great
Played on Christmas Eve, wasn’t busy, no beverage cart (which they should have told us when checking in),
Glad they shut down early so most of the staff could go home!
Was lucky enough to play with a fellow that participates on the ultimate long drive circuit, was neat to watch him launch those long drives and his young son (8), smiled the entire round!
A desert course
Easy to find. Easy check in. Getting costly. Clean carts with sand bottles and ball/ club washer. Water at the start. Water buckets for towels. Tees beat up some and often uneven. Fairways pretty good Roughs with minimal grass or desert. Bunkers seem playable to me. Greens good shape and not flat. Played in 4 hrs. Can’t take carts to car. Hard to turn left out if parking lot neat 5 pm
Great Value
Staff friendly and Sara, the beverage cart girl is great!
