Ironwood Country Club
About
Ironwood Golf Course is an 18-hole course with many challenging elements. There are water hazards that come into play on five holes and the holes that don't have water have strategically placed sand bunkers coming in to play. All of the greens are sloped and some are undulating as well. One interesting asset of the course is the extensive mounding; the unique and interesting placement can cause uneven lies. The course is tricky but there are three sets of tee boxes to adapt to a variety of abilities and handicaps. The Ironwood Golf Course facility also features practice facilities including a putting green and chipping area.

Nice Course
This course is always in great shape. Fairways lush and green, greens true and immaculate. I really enjoy Ironwood.
A most pleasant afternoon
A nice course in great condition, especially the greens. Nice pace of play, despite cart path only due to previous two days of rain, which drained from course extremely well. We would definitely play this course again. Rest rooms were immaculate. The course is very lady and senior friendly with wide fairways, big greens, and very negotiable hazards.
Enjoyable round
Lovely setting, and course is in great shape. The starter could have been more friendly, but curt seemed to be his comfort zone. Par 67, a bit shorter than a full course, but every club got used. We will be going back.
Fun to play!
This was a fun course to play-the first time I've played a par 67. The par fives and par threes were both long and most of the par fours were pretty short. The greens were in good shape and the overall course conditions were good. I would come back again.
poor staff
The staff was not receptive of the golfnow program AND treated us as outsiders. will not play there again
Rough staff.
If you aren't 70 years old Gary will question the heck out of you. I felt like I was being interrogated by the KGB. Decent course for a hot rate on golf now. Paying full price is almost comical.
Ironwood & Oakwoood Golf Course
Played both courses Sunday, both were great. Will play there again.
Great wide-open golf course
Iron Oaks is a great course for players that want a par 71 that is open and fairly easy to play. The golf-shop employee was very courteous and friendly. I will definitely play this course again, and will recommend it to my friends.
This course was great
This course was a great find, very clean, well maintained, nice greens. Overall an excellent value.
Great short course
My wife and I have played this course 4 or 5 times. It is her favorite course and it is the best short course I have played. The course is well kept with a mixture of short par fours and par threes with two par fives. There is no driving range and it can be slow on weekends during cooler months. Our most recent round was during the summer in the heat and there was very few groups on the course.
Relaxed round at a good course.
Great rate and good course conditions. On the short side but the layout is nice.
Excellent Value
Groups were spaced very well. No rushing or waiting! Lots of rolling hills and challenging greens. Excellent value $25.00 with cart. Clubhouse is top notch and priced frugally. Will play this hidden gem again soon!
Slow Relaxing Course in Great Condition
After a recent horrible experience at another club in the valley, I have been a bit reluctant to try any new course. However, after a last minute cancellation of a meeting on Sunday, I had limited choices and found a very affordable tee time at Ironwood. My favorite golf wingman and I set out to the gated community in Chandler where many great small courses are found, and discovered one of my favorite short courses in Arizona. The executive course is a little longer than most, which is great if you want to work your woods on the many par-4 and bookend par-5 holes.
The condition of every hole was great, with only a few well manicured desert gardens here and there, and was full of well manicured grass on the fairways and tricky greens. The staff, particularly the rangers, were very nice and most helpful. The ranger stopped by at least six times throughout our game to chat with us between holes, offer us a beverage and give us some very good advice about the next hole or two. We enjoyed our very relaxing round so much, we are planning on going back in a couple weeks. Great find.
great executive course
nice little gem tucked in south chandler. I would recommend this place to others
Windy day golf
Overall nice course. Good value for the Golf Now deal.
Only negative was the EXTREMELY rude gentleman in the golf shop. Unlikely we will pick this course again because of that.
The range guy was nice and very helpful.
Nice round of Golf
Played on Easter morning so the course was wide open. Nobody in front of us and 2 open holes behind us, so pace of play was whatever we decided it to be.
Greens and fairways were in very good shape. Off the fairway the grass was a pretty dry and ground very hard, but you are supposed to be in the fairway right.....
Lots of bunkers and some tough shots over sand to tucked pins. We played from the backs and from there its a fun course with some longer par3's if you choose to do that.
Nice course overall.
Love this course
We loved golfing here. Comments made about 1 pro shop staff member who tends to be a little grumpy but our experience has always been very welcoming with staff here - especially marshals who are always very friendly and helpful. Very rarely had to wait - loved golfing at 4:00 p.m. - good value - great little course!
Great course for the money
We got on with no waiting throughout course of play
course was in very good condition
Greens in great shape
Played 18 in hte afternoon. 10 minutes late on the 1:30 pm reservation but never had to wait thereafter.
Greens were in great shape. Bermuda just starting to come in so the rough was basicly non-existant.
We had a fun afternoon!
Nice course. Staff needs work.
Every player that I crossed paths with was super friendly, pace of play was fair and the course was in good condition. The pro shop desk worker/starter was fairly cold and dismissive. The ranger/beverage cart person was 100% rude, confrontational and definitely on a power trip. For the money, the course up the road is nicer and the staff has always been pleasant, which means that my return to Ironwood is highly unlikely.
