With a coupon and Hot Deal it was worth the $30
Greens probably need to be rolled or have some attention given to them. The ball seemed to roll left and right for no reason and oddly there were hardly any divots on them. Also, surrounding the green there were too many bare spots leading to hits off the dirt rather than actual grass.
I’ve played here many times through the years, I’d say the course is improving but not to the point that I’d be willing to pay full price.
Gotta Play this Course
My wife and I really enjoyed this course and it’s long Greens, can’t wait to come back next year.
Only issue we had, we wanted to buy a Polo Shirt souvenir but they closed the Pro Shop and would not let us in when we rattled the doors. No big deal, we will buy that shirt next year when we return.
Nice Course
Nice course, but windy,.. Greens a bit of a challenge. Ruff is ruff. Stay in the fairways!
Looks easy but...
Challenging, shorter course that surprised me with its difficulty. It was a chilly, windy day and that added to the "fun." Still coming into shape after winter. Greens were good, mostly. Fairways generally ok, with some chewed up spots. Rough (and they do have actual rough) was a mess up in places, weirdly uneven and clumpy in spots. Again, seemed like an early season problem. I thought this course was much more difficult than I had been led to believe, and I'd like to play it again, now that I've seen it.
Bathroom
Everything was great EXCEPT not having the back 9 restroom available. They should place a port-a-pot there. This is 3 weeks in a row without and restroom and no one lets you know when you sign in.
Very nice course!
Beautiful, fun course even though it was very windy.
On course restroom
The back 9 restrooms are still not working. No one mentioned this when you checked in. At least place a porta pot there so players can have a facility to use.
A good round, but unnecessarily slow
I have played this course many times. It was in really good shape for the end of March. The course conditions were good, and the greens were in reasonable shape. The layout is great.
My only complaint was the pace of play. We got stuck as a foursome behind an incredibly slow foursome. They had three holes open in front of them, and they didn’t care, they were joking talk on the Teebox while we were waiting for them to tee off. They added at least an hour to our round. If the Course would have sent a Marshall out to speed them up, it would’ve been more enjoyable around.
Pleasant surprise
We live in Sedona and played this course because ours was closed. Having not heard anything positive or negative about PGC our expectations were somewhat low. We were very pleasantly surprised. Challenging course but not overly penal; good condition; good gas cart; great value for a weekend; good pro shop; nice little halfway house for snacks. This is now our "go to" out-of-town course.
Fun course
We drove up from Phoenix to play Prescott Golf Club. The staff was friendly and courteous. The price at $60 was very reasonable for the course. We had a great time. The course is pretty forgiving and challenges you to play smart on plenty of holes. The greens were in great shape and offered plenty of challenges as well. I'd definitely play here again.
My only complaint is the cart paths. They need some serious work.
Enjoyed our round
We started play at 2:30 pm. We had no wait time on any hole which was refreshing. The fairways were in good condition. They day was cold and a little windy. The greens were in very good shape.
Great course for Beginners wanting to try something new!
We had a blast networking and playing for the low cost. I was recommended to check out their website and was offered a job! Course availability is phenomenal.
A little winter golf up in Prescott
Took off from Anthem AZ. By time we got to the course temperature dropped to around 36 Fahrenheit had to golf with multiple layers snowed on us while we’re on the fourth hole. By the airport, the sun came out for a few holes and made up for the difference, something to say about the sun made everything better. Course was in great shape for this time of year, Greensburg fast, but very undulating, which made for some difficult green reads the course is fairly wide open, the trees will come in to play. A great day of golf still.
