There is an abundance of forestry; not only are there trees lining the fairways but they are also situated throughout, making accuracy top priority. There are also water hazards and bunkers to look out for. Dobson Ranch Golf Course has a reputation for being immaculately kept and consistently being in excellent condition. On the premises there is also a convenient lighted driving range as well as other practice facilities. There is also a pro shop that carries a full line of discounted professional golf equipment.

Since day one!
We live in Fort Collins Colorado since 1994 after 20 years in the Valley. I was fortunate enough to watch Lee Trevino officially open Dobson Ranch in 1975. Liked i then and like it now for its relaxing round of golf!
Course was in good shape. Greens 7 out of 10. We played 9 holes, pace picked up after the 2nd hole and we finished in about 2 hrs 15 min.
Nice round, we’ll definitely be back.
Starter ruined the round.
All staff were super friendly except for Paul the starter. We showed up a half hour early and it was drizzling. Paul did not acknowledge us and was talking to the group going out. We walked up to him to let him know we were there. We were very pleasant and let him know that the pro shop said we should ask him if there Was any way we could get out earlier. He said he’d see what he could do. We putted until the team in front of us was past the 150 marker. No one else was around so I asked him if we would be able to get out early. He said I was just thinking of sending you out. So I waited until another 5 minutes passed. The team in front was walking off the green so motioned to my husband as he said ok. We started driving forward and then he halted us and talked to another 2some that had just shown up. He then paired us together which was fine but we could have easily been on the green already. Then later we were asked to wait to let the group behind us go through obviously members again. He was not friendly and gave us the vibe we shouldn’t be there.
Decent course with decent prices, pacing between the groups was good so that we didn’t wait for our round.
Not a great course
The greens are terribly difficult and very hard packed. The bunkers are hard clay. Will not return to this course.
Greens are rolling and difficult. Fairways are green and lush. Roughs are brown and rolling
Pace of play was ridiculous! Tee time was 25 minutes late and there was no frost delay. Tee times are booked too close.
Course was in good shape. Greens were really good. I have always liked this course and for the amount of play it gets it was in good shape. Can't wait to play again. always a fun challenge
Course in good shape
Course and greens in good shape. Pace of play ok for this time of year. Staff friendly and appreciate one’s business. Would play again.
Large, tough greens
I haven't played this course in almost 20 years, so it felt like I was playing it for the first time. The course is fair if you hit it in the fairway but can be difficult if you get into trouble. It is well bunkered and the traps need more sand so it's difficult to control shots. The greens are all sloped and the pin placements were very challenging. It was a fun afternoon and even though the course was full, we completed our round in under 4 1/2 hours.
Give it a try! You'll have fun.
unfair pin locations
Pins are on hills like putt golf.
Other than that fun course.
Even though there was a frost Delay the staff did everything in there powers to get us out as soon as possible they did a shotgun start for maybe the first four holes then they funneled us in so we could finish all 18 holes and on top of that they gave a free Coupon for breakfast or lunch on them. THANK YOU J.P. at Dobson Ranch and Staff
For forty bucks in high season in Arizona, it is what it is. It’s just an Ok course. If you want a “ Las Sendas” or Red Mountain ranch, you'll pay the premium.
If you want an inexpensive round on a decent course, Dobson answers the mail.
Just Ok, nothing special.
This was the first time I played the course and I'm not sure if I will go again. This seems to be a very busy course, so the pace of play was not great. The greens are nice and big, plus they are difficult to play. The rest of the course is in very rough conditions.
Fun golf course
The course is in good condition for this time of year. Greens very fast. Staff was excellent if not outstanding
Slow Slow Slow
Seen the Marshall on #8 twiddling his thumbs and doing nothing to speed up slow play, we have waited every shot, this is absolutely painful I hope I am not playing anytime soon
