Championship at Incline Village Golf Resort
About
The Championship Course at Incline Village will challenge golfers of all levels, and leave even scratch golfers breathless with a slope rating that tops 140. Combining amazing scenery with demanding golf action, the Championship Course is high on the list of traveling golfers looking for the best from their High Sierra golf package.
Originally designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr., the course received a facelift in 2003, courtesy of golf course architect Kyle Phillips. The nearly $5 million renovation reinvigorated the course, which demands accuracy, as well as giving players risk-reward opportunities over trees and bunkers.
With two golf courses - the Championship and Mountain courses - Incline Village offers something for all level of golfer, and offers outstanding service and conditioning, as well as top-notch practice facilities, making it a highlight for a High Sierra golf vacation.

Beautiful Course
This championship course was everything I'd expect. What I was not prepared for was how fast the greens were. So on par 3's choose club wisely because the ball rolls and rolls to back of green then off. Other than that- fairways excellent! Highly recommended!
Awesome course
Well maintained. Not an easy course- narrow. But so worth it!
Great Course!
I came to Tahoe to specifically play Edgewood because I had seen it in TV. Found out about Incline Village and boy am I glad I did. This place is extremely challenging and blows away Edgewood which I also played. Edgewood is an overpriced resort course. Wide open fairways and blah greens. The Championship course is tight with elevation changes and dog legs galore. Bring your big boy clubs. Only downside, no cart girl or water in the course. Yes we were the last tee time at 2:40 but this is inexcusable. Apparently this is the norm here. Very silly for such cheapness at such an upscale club. Also pace of play was very slow. This place is a must play in Tahoe. You can play here twice for the cost of Edgewood which is nothing special.
Waited 15 minutes at the 10th Tee and then the remaining time.
We felt they let additional golfers on the back 9-holes which delayed us badly.
Incline Championship Course
My first impression of the facility AND the golf course was outstanding. The Pro Shop staff are friendly, helpful and courteous.True professionals. The golf course wants you to play well- as it should. The locale at Incline Village with Crystal Bay,the mountains and the trees of North Shore Lake Tahoe are ideally majestic.
Placement over power rules Incline Village
An old standard on the north shore of Lake Tahoe, this Robert Trent Jones Sr. layout is both fun and challenging. Lots of good holes and a few views of Lake Tahoe make it an above average experience. Only drawback is that the homes can be a little too close to comfort, which is why course management and accuracy are more important than hitting it long, though there are few holes where length has its advantages. One would be the par-5 13th, which is 622 yards from the back tees. Nice uphill par-4 finishing hole.
great course and staff
Wonderful round of golf.
Better course than I have ever played on vacation.
Fairways were excellent, greens rolled true and staff was very helpful.
Great driving range to make it complete
Outstanding course!
Fun...gorgeous views.....challenging. This course is a "don't miss" for serious golfers in the Lake Tahoe area. It is in great shape, the staff members were outstanding and it was just a lot of fun. Whether playing on he back tees as I did or the forward tees as my wife did, the course is set up to challenge you yet provide a lot of excitement and just plain fun.
renoruona

Great fun!
We had a great time. Played in 4 hours. A lot of challanging shots. Punched greens bunot bad. We knew that going in. Would love to do it again next year!
Nice golf day
Great course marshals very friendly and helpful, very nice views of the lake
Play Incline!
Great mountain golf experience. Greens are treacherous if you are above the hole. Beautiful course lots of fun.
Great course for all levels
Must play golf course if you are in the Reno Tahoe area. we just finished to play 18 at Dayton Valley in the morning, arrived little bit early to the course, club house staff very nice to let us go as the time we have arrived, after tee off. I know this is the one i should play for many many times, we have a wonderful golf trip from the bay area, golf course from tee box fair way to green,,, everything are so perfect to me, I will difinatly come back to play again.
Wonderful Experience
The golf course and views were memorable. It was a great mountain course. I would recommend this course
beautiful layout
course was in great shape, greens playing fast but fair, well maintained bunkers, rough, and fairways. will be a good challenge if you play from the right tee box. highly recommended.
Best around Tahoe
I played the championship course par 72 & had a hot deal for $85 at 2:40pm and finished just under 4 hours after splitting away on the back 9 from the 3 some I was paired with. Course conditions were awesome compared to the drought we are in...green fairways and lush rough. Bunkers had nice real sand vs dirt! Greens were rolling nicely and pretty fast downhill towards the lake & would guess running around 11+...downhill away from the lake not as fast as well as uphill putts...play your break towards the lake even if it looks straight! I'm a 5 handicap & didn't score well on the front and shot 8 over with 1 birdie from the blues...ball carries further in the mountains & even the long par 3 's on the front I went OB long even clubbing down 1 club! I redeemed myself on the back 9 & was playing well all day just needed to adjust for the course...shot 2 under on back with 3 birdies for a 6 over 78. I loved the course it was beautiful through the woods with lake views here & there of Tahoe! Besides Edgewood golf course this course at Incline has to be the best in the area!
Love this course. Would definetely come back!
Good example of a Tahoe mountain course. Well maintaianed, excellent practice facilities, wonderful proshop. Hadn't played it for several years & enjoyed playing the "back" 9 first. We will definetely be coming back!
Great RTJ Sr. course in perfect conditions
We had bought a week at a timeshare in Incline Village at a charity auction and were looking for good golf nearby. WE really stumbled on the course on Golf Now. The rack rate is $169 but we paid $119 for a 1:20 tee time. The course was firm and fast. The bent grass greens are slowly being over taken by poa annua, but were in excellent, very fast shape. The dry pine forest rough -- pine straw they would say at August -- gave some hope of recovery from a bad tee shot which was exaggerated by fairly narrow landing areas for drives. But the real key to scoring was putting your approach below the hole. No complaint about the greens which were very true, but very fast, so don't even try for birdie from above. I'll go back next time we're in Tahoe.
Great day in the mountains
First time playing this course. Took my dad for his birthday and we had a wonderful time. Challenging but fun course. Will definitely go back and play this course again.
