The Club at ArrowCreek - Legend Course
About
The Legend at The Club at ArrowCreek brings Arnie's Army to Reno's golf and gambling mecca. Or at least, Arnold Palmer's golf course design touch. Palmer is the architect of Legend, one of two 18-hole showcase courses at The Club at ArrowCreek. Legend throws forced carries, striking native desert grasses and plush speedy greens at golfers without trying to beat them up quite as much as its sister course, The Challenge.
Palmer - the people's champion - seems to undertand how to put together a course for the people too. ArrowCreek Legend weaves around ravines, dry creeks and rocks. It can really give the golfer a sense of being away from it all - even though it's a quick drive to Reno's downtown casinos.
ArrowCreek Legend's finishing stretch tends to leave golfers talking. No. 17 is a short 294-yard par 4 that just screams at players to try and carry the big bunker in front of the green. Usually in score-deflating futility. Then, No, 18 throws a 442-yard par 4 that includes a big ravine carry at golfers.
Don't relax once you're on the green eihter. ArrowCreek Legend's 18 is the fastest green on the entire course. And ArrowCreek takes pride in its fast greens.

Good course in good shape.
Saw plenty of people crowding out the course lower down the hill and paying 50% more for the privilege of playing the inferior community course. Thanks Golfnow for the great rate!
Warning!!! Every green breaks towards the city and off of the mountain- sometimes it breaks uphill!
It has nice greens.
Love the lay out but only thing is no markers anywhere to show some kind of yards ect.. But love the greens fast tight just like PGA courses ive played..
Arrowcreek is Back!
Country Club treatment and amenities. Fantastic practice facility, accommodating staff, and immaculate greens. As the real estate bust has impacted so many Golf Course/Builder developments it is good to see Arrowcreek staying in the game. And if you have game the Golf here is well worth the retail green fees.
Beautiful layout - the front and back nines are quite different. Stunning views.
It would help a lot first time players if the carts provided GPS as there are many obstacles / canyons to cross on the back nine. The club house facilities are top notch.
We couldn't figure out the greens.... putting was a real challenge!
Excellent 'desert' golf
An Excellent 'desert' golf course. Good fast greens and ok fairways. Good staff that made for an enjoyable day. Would Certainly play again, especially with the Hot Deal price !
The course has great views of Reno.
This course was too penal for a slightly errant shot. If you missed the fairway by 5-10 yards, there was a good chance that you were in the desert brush. It is obvious that the course is going through some rough times based on the conditions of some of the fairways. The tee boxes and greens were okay. Sand traps should have been called dirt traps because the sand was non-existent. I played here once. Once was enough.
Smokin' Deal makes any round great!
I spotted an unbelievable deal on Golfnow and grabbed it. It made my whole round just feel better, ya know when you can play a round and use their incredible practice facility for less than that would cost = score! ArrowCreek has the best practice areas in Reno!!! Course was in good shape, but the winds on that day were a bit unforgiving, but whata you goin' do. Had a great day golfing overall, only slow down was myself, to enjoy views and look for lost balls!
Tough Arnold Palmer Layout; Customer Service Could Be Improved
Had played this course ten years ago and forgot how hilly it was. Course condition was very good for the most part except for a few holes. Layout was very tough but interesting. Didn't care for a few holes where shot to middle of fairway left a hanging downhill lie. Greens were fast and true but lots of slope and contour, it was fairly windy making club selection tricky. Course staff was somewhat disconnected though cordial. We played 18 holes and didn't see a cart person, and food and beverage services were non existent. We showed up two hours early but they would not let us play early, even though there was no one on the course ahead of us. Not sure if treatment was due to us being non members but it seemed that way. Staff did not attempt to avail us of services and communicated with us minimally. Though we did strike up a conversation with a member that was entertaining. Practice facilities were outstanding, practice balls were plentiful and included in price, which was also outstanding. We played from the Rust tees which gave us all the challenge we could have asked for. Lost a few balls and I had also forgotten how many barrancas and how much OB there was. Make sure you bring enough balls if playing for the first time. Played 18 holes in 3 1/2 hours with my son and didn't really see many golfers other than the twosome ahead of us that consisted of a local pro and his partner.
Great views of Reno
Warm and friendly greeting and more than ample practice areas. Great views of the Reno valley. Washed out fairways and poor bunker management detract from the experience. Course conditions would prevent me on recommending this facility as it didn't match up with the cost. Pace of play was great (3 hours) for our 2some.
Very nice course, great sight lines.
Very nice course, great practice area, nice people. Take a camera as you can see the city / downtown area from most holes. hint up hill putts are in the direction of Mt Rose, everything else breaks to the city.
Great course
My wife and I liked this course. Excellent pace of play, great shape and so original layout.
Always a fun course
My husband and I have played this course several times when in the Reno area and it is always a fun, challenging course to play. For being in a drought for the last few years the course is in good condition, although there are some spots in several of the fairways that are bare of grass, mostly where the fairway meets the rough. The greens are in good shape and lightning fast. Don't pass up the opportunity to play this course.
Best in Reno
Nice views and challenging terrain. If you can keep the ball in the fairway off the tee, you can score well. Great practice facility so get there early.
Tough but fun
Tough course, need to be accurate. Greens are even tougher and everything rolls toward the valley. Unfortunately there are some spots on the course that are messed up and require some attention.
Great value but not what I expected from the magazines.
I thought this was going to be a challenging and well designed course. I found it to be rather short and easy. Most par 5s. We're only 500 yards. A couple par 4s playing at around 300. I only paid 20 bucks so I'm glad I got to play.
Desert Course
Tough....fast greens.....needs yardage markers inside the 150yard poles...needs ball washers on the tee boxes....good deal from Golf Now
LOVED THE COURSE AND THE BEAUTIFUL VISTAS!
LOOK FORWARD TO RETURNING TO ARROWCREEK AND WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT TO MY FRIENDS.
Great course for the price
Have played this course many times. At $40 including cart this was a great value. Played in the heat of the day and therefore not many golfers on the course. They supplied all the iced bottled water needed. Had a great time.
Course provides a great golfing experience
Our east coast foursome played the course during the week of July 4th. Each hole offers dramatic views of Mt Rose and/or the City of Reno far off in the valley. The course was challenging and the greens very fast with hard to see breaks toward the valley. But we still loved it. The staff was great with lots of helpful hints. Our only negative was a series of twosomes that we felt obliged to let through which affected the continuity of our round
