Please get a Marshall!
Pace was terrible, a Marshall is needed. Traps were in horrible condition. For that kind of money and reputation
It should show in quality of upkeep..Thankfully through TeeOff I paid only $60,but with pace of play was not able to finish 18 holes. Feel like prices should drop when there is not enough time to finish due to sunset. Still selling at 5:50 with Sunset at 8:15 on a slightly discounted rate. Staff was top notch, course was beautiful as always, except for thin, unkempt traps.
Punched greens in July - watch out
I guess they punch once a year and it’s during prime season. Wish I would have known that before hand. Others then that great course always.
Disappointed
Sad should just close down for maintenance. Putting on 50% sand 50% green. Bunkers closed, and can only drive on the cart path. Best to just walk!
Great Course
one of my favorite courses. I had a great time and the course was in great shape. The staff was extremely helpful and nice. I will play this course next time i am in Denver. Played with two members and they were very nice. Completely great experience.
Great Course, but Needs Work
Green Speeds were FAIR
Bunkers were worse than any cheap course in the state, with standing water and awful sand. The grass wasn't cut around the bunkers. I can't begin to think how this is acceptable. Played this course for 5+ years. Past 2-3 years bunkers are hot garbage. 2 years ago it was the fairways. The year before that was the greens. How can you be a TROON course and be so inconsistent?
Beautiful Course, Perfect Weather
We had a lovely round. Pace on the front was good, dragged a little in the back. Hilly terrain makes for challenging estimates for distances which adds to the difficulty on a shorter course. Given no one in our group could make a putt greater than 6' I am a little suspicious of the condition of the greens but don't know enough to say what the issue was or if it was just a lot of poor putting. I would certainly play again.
Always Good
The Ridge is one of the courses I need to play at least once a year. I don't live close, but I'm willing to make the drive. This is a fun course with a great variety of holes that will challenge every type of player while offering some great scenery.
The course has a mountain feel as it has many elevation changes and works its way through some heavily forested areas. I love the dramatic blind tee shot on the 9th hole where a good drive will end up all the way down by the green. The 18th also offers a semi blind tee shot, but plays severely uphill to the clubhouse. It's a fun finisher.
The great combination of holes forces the player to make a lot of different decisions off of the tee, driver won't always be the best option. When it's time to swing the big stick the fairways are plenty wide with fair landing areas. It really is one of the funnest layouts around.
Conditions were great when we played. Greens were smooth, not too fast, but they rolled true. As usual a day at The Ridge did not disappoint.
Leave the driver at home
The course was in excellent condition. The staff was very friendly. The beverage cart was curiously absent on the front 9 but we were able to get refreshed a few times on the back 9. There wasn't a single hole when I felt comfortable using a driver due to the tight fairways...fairway woods, hybrids and irons ruled the day. Lots of sand in play. Gorgeous views, visually appealing approach shots. Pace of play was 2 hours 5 minutes on the front and 2.5 hours on the back where we waited about 5 minutes only once on hole 18. Even while the course is lined with homes I never felt in danger of hitting any of them :)
One of the best courses in Colorado
I believe this course is just as fun and scenic as the Broadmoor in Colorado Springs. The greens were fantastic.
The Ridge at Castle Pines North
