Historical & Beautiful
It's a rare treat to tee off of the oldest continuous use tee box in America. That is how you begin your round on the first hole. The course is lush, green, and well-maintained. The layout is unique with expected elevation changes. Be certain to study the layout because their is trouble in areas you can't see. The green speeds were inconsistent but in superb shape. I'm pretty sure I heard Sam Snead's ghost tell me I sucked.
No Flat Lies!
Played two round over a couple of days. Course was in great shape. Mid October so leaves could have been an issue. The grounds staff did a great job keeping the leaves under control if you hit the ball in or near the fairway. If you didn't then you were in trouble as you should be! Golf staff, starter, bag staff, and shuttle driver couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. The test on this course is hitting good shots from the never flat lies.
