Golf Advisor: Top Courses in Mountain West (2018 #8)
Reviews
Great course to enjoy in Jackson, WY
As a single player, the starter paired me up with a member who was an excellent guide around the course. The course is a great fun round of golf, no tricks to the course, you just have to hit it pretty straight to get around. The greens were the highlight, with a pure roll. If I return to Jackson Hole, I would definitely play here again.
Wow on Views, but one negative
As you can imagine, the views on the course was spectacular and course was in good shape. We were extremely lucky in that we played the course on the last day of spring rate, so that was a plus as the rate doubled the following day.
My negatives: Didn't really greet us as we checked out the pro shop and my wife actually wanted to forget this and find something else to go play as she despises snooty people or places.
Being a resort area course, we were paired up with 2 young men that was very patient, but they have played the course and that was a help.
The greens were lightning quick and it wasn't until the back nine that we finally adjusted to them.
Other negative: If resort type courses are going to charge 3 digits to play it, at least invest in GPS on the carts.
Finally, as we concluded our round, no one checked to see what to do with our clubs,... A little better service and the ratings would be higher...OH...one final REALLY? there is a 18% charge added to whatever you buy at the halfway point hut... for the girl to push a button..
T eton pines
Very scenic extremely difficult and unforgiving. Did not have my clubs. Rented titlist but they were very hard to hit. The course is narrow and the roughs were extremely plush and thick. I would recommend this course for experienced players however even shooting a high score the course was great fun.
Rainy Day in the Mountains
I'm a Jackson Hole local and my brother was in town. I wanted him to experience some high elevation golf yet the skies were dark. It was pouring rain on the first tee but by the time we finished #1 the sun was out. The clouds rolled back in yet fortunately it only rained on us 2 other holes. Moral of the story - don't let mountain weather stop you from having fun!
Great bargain thanks to GolfNow.com
It was an amazing bargain. The afternoon started a bit moist but it cleared up and the day turned beautiful. The course is a bit rough still but only due to early season conditions. If you want a course with an extremely gorgeous panoramic views, this is the place. Have fun and go tee it up soon.
Outstanding course with fantastic mountain vistas.
Golf on higher level! Challenging 18 holes with perfect greens. Friendly Pro Shop Staff. Off course club house amenities are five star. Wonderful October weather just a plus.
