The Rough!!!
Played in the morning around 9:00 and it was not busy but it is a free-for-all when teeing off. Got paired up with a threesome which lead to average to slow play for the relative busyness of the course.
Great layout with short to long par 4's playing from the tips. Greens were rolling fairly good but nothing amazing.
The rough so thick that finding your ball is impossible! Finding the fairway is a must while playing here. Overall it is a great test of golf for a average to great players.
Hidden Gem
We took a foursome on this course and I was very pleased at how excellent the course shape was. Sneaky difficult and very fun to play, for the Monroe/downriver area you will be hard pressed to find a better course for the money.
Very nice experience
I needed a place to play when my club was closed for the day, I've played this course before and always enjoyed it. I would highly recommend the facility.
The staff is very friendly and welcoming. The course conditions were excellent.
Great course
The course is in good shape. The ruff is tuff. Staff is great and the food is cheep
Don't get to excited
There really aren't any holes that stand out as memorable and that's a big deal to me. It's really just a run of the mill golf course.
good deal
worth the play when you get a golfnow deal
course was nice and green for this time of year
good choice if the wife is playing too
Sandy Creek is a hidden gem.
I played Sandy Creek for the first time with a GolfNow hot deal at only $10 per person. This is more like a $30 course. The course is beautiful, manicured, challenging (with well placed bunkers and lots of trees), not very crowded and has very nice greens. My playing partner guided me around the course and we had a great time. The staff and ranger were very friendly and the food was good and did not cost an arm and a leg. I'm adding this course to my rotation. If you're anywhere near Monroe, you'll want to play this course because it's a gem.
Well worth it.
A nice mix of easy, average and difficult holes. No complaints about the conditions...greens held and rolled true.
nice day to play around witmy son
the course was in very good shape and not very busy , we finished in less than 3 hours. the staff is very friendly and since it was not busy we got to tee off early. We really enjoy the 9th and 18th holes because the present a challenge.
very nice.
I play hear a lot... very nice course. great shape Iloce it..
Super value!
Couldn't beat the price. Too bad we picked one of the hottest days to play. Course looked somewhat dry. Many hard pan areas..
nice course
neer home and a very well kept course also pretty challenging definitly will return
Accuracy is paramount
Very nice course. Up north type surroundings. Good golf shot challenges.
Nice Facility
Some tough holes, plays very fair. Low scores are out there if you hit long & straight. Ball sits down in grass just off the fairway, you have to be right on top of the ball to find it. Tall grass in some places that makes it nearly impossible to find your ball. You need to be fairly skilled or bring extra balls.
Nice
Narrow fairways. Challenging pin placement. Golf carts not allowed in parking lot.
Great Course Condition, Few Quirky Holes
Sandy Creek is a flat relatively wide open golf course. The course plays long from the back tees as it's 6,800 plus yards on fairways that don't roll out much. A few holes such as 9, 10 and 15 can be difficult for those without course knowledge. The course was in great shape today and the greens rolled very true.
Great bang for your buck!
Great course for all level golfers, and wife said I could golf twice a day, everyday if I get deals like I got from Last Minute Golfer!!
Average
Good course. Less than friendly staff. Had a bad experience with some people hitting up behind is.
No worries
If you can't hit straight drives this is the course for you,,,pretty wide open. Not much of a water course. Bunkers are a bit on the easy side. Carts are a bit old and a bit creaky. clubhouse is nice. Saw only kids running the place.
Staffs are very friendly
The beautiful America flat land, This course is very challenging eigtheen hole public course. This is what I would term a flat land course. It's one you need to manage the distances and location. If you do these things well you will score very good.
