LakeRidge Golf Course is a Robert Trent Jones course that has consistently been voted the "Best of Reno" ever since it first opened in 1969. Though the course sits less than five miles from downtown, the surrounding mountains provide a tucked-away feel. There are some stunning views from the elevated tees but don't get too distracted, this challenging course demands your attention. Mature trees tower over the fairways but they are thankfully wide enough to offer a little room for error. Water comes into play frequently and there are strategically placed bunkers lurking along the undulating greens. Accuracy is essential at LakeRidge Golf Course. The signature hole is the par-3 15th. This tee sits atop a rocky ridge that is perched 140 feet above Lake Stanley. You'll be playing downhill to an island green on this challenging but scenic hole.

April conditions

For April,

- greens are outstanding
- fairways are very good
- sand traps are awful
- staff super friendly
- beverage cart great except for prices. $6 for a miller light.
- pace of play slow but not too bad. Acceptable
- overall very impressive course conditions for mid April. Well done.

Pace of play nightmare

There was a group of 5 teeing off in front of us, and the starter seemed to think it was just fine. This happens often here, and grouped with 9 minute tee time intervals makes it impossible to finish a round under 5 hours.

They packed us in like sardines

There was 19 groups on every hole. I spent as much time with the people around us as I did with my group. No range. One visit from the beverage cart in 18 holes. They charged us summer prices. It was the longest round I’ve ever had I’m 99% sure. Normally I don’t mind if the play is a little slow, but this was excessive. They scheduled way too many people way too close together. This was not the Lakeridge of the past. This new Lakeridge is kinda trash

Best course in Reno Area

Island green is beautiful and fun better than Coeur d' Alene in Idaho and such a better course
Layout keeps you from getting bored lots if unknown hazards such as ravens that cut thru the course and hazards around the greens. For first time players it's very challenging if you don't recognize where the ravens cut thru the course. I wish there was a course like this in vegas it would be my home course.
No real warm up area except a putting green and a hitting cage. Yes it has dried goose poop on course get over it !
If we ever come back thru here will probably just book this course multiple times . Greens in great shape !!!
Great views on some holes and wildlife: Cute Marmots everywhere-

Duck Duck Goose

Good course, good shape good layout. Way to much goose, duck poop.
I don't know how to solve the problem. Maybe a dog.

Cheers

Rude

Staff is usually pretty rude. I go here cause it's next to my house, that's the only reason. Rude people. Bathrooms never unlocked. Minus the great par three island green, this course is marginal

Fair tract.

Front 9 was nothing impressive. Duck and Goose poop everywhere and I mean Everywhere. Not pleasant at all.
Back 9 was great, great layout, not much poop.
Greens were very good and in great shape.

Lakeridge

Nicest course in town with no driving range. Practice areas are good, but could use more on course restrooms that are open. Enjoyable course that is expensive in the summer months and would recommend to others.
