A Nearly Complete Disaster
The staff is incredibly friendly while supporting a course that is an embarrassment. It should all be marked as grounds under repair. Nuff said.
old member
The course was as I. Remembered it. It's short five par 4s four par 3s had a little trouble checking in but they had a meeting and forgot to take signs down.
The course can be challenging especially if you're having trouble with hooking the ball. The short par 4s are fun if you're a big hitter and easy to reach if you're not the greens are small.
Great day for Golf
I paired up with Mr. Jim, had a great time and the weather was great. shot a +17 and had 5 par's.
easy walking course
This course is a good course for older golfers as it is very flat and an easy to walk for golfers. There is not a lot of sand or water.
Fair
Narrow fairways, par three and four course. Greens in fair condition but could use work. Golf cart needs work runs ruff.
very friendly staff, good course
The course was in good shape and the starter was doing everything he could to make the experience good.
Good short game practice
This is a nine-hole course with par threes and par fours. We played eighteen holes (nine holes twice - once from blues and once from reds). Fun course. The day we played there was a tournament which had a frost delay; however, Andy worked us in quickly after the tournament cleared.
good course to practice short irons.
Greens were firm and fast for this type of course.
my wife is a beginner so it was good for her.
Nice executive 18 hole course.
It was somewhat misleading re: number of holes- listed as 18 holes but actually repeat 9 holes with different tee placements. First 9 holes were confused untill the staff told us that we were to repeat the holes at different tee placements. Only 64 par that we finished in 1 hour 55 minutes, all "18 holes.
Greens were ok. Fairways needed some mprovement. No beverage cart available but the sign said "no outside cooler or food."
Good course for seniors
Good value for the money (recognizing we received a great rate on the GolfNow website). 15 minute drive from our hotel in Laughlin. Need to remember the course is on Arizona time (versus Nevada) so an hour time difference. It's actually a nine hole course but played from different tee boxes on the front 9 and back 9, which was good given it was our (wife and I, both retired) first time playing it so you could apply what you learned on the front 9 to the back 9. Course is not overly long or difficult though the greens were very fast (compared to what we are used to).
Small town course
Went to one of the bigger places paid 150.00 dollars. We found a jewel in a rough, the place didn't have all the bales and whistle. It was better friendly people, course was just as good, best thing ever it didn't take our dinner money to play get this 35.00 dollars yes you hear me and a hot dog with a coke. Just like home you can't get any better, love this place will go there every time we come. Thank you again love your couse and price. You don't feel like your getting rip off just because your from out of town. Vicky
Great Adventure and Challenge
I thoroughly enjoyed my golf outing at the Chaparral Golf Course. The staff and management were very friendly and accommodating. The course was well manicured and challenging. To top it off, the weather was beautiful. A great day for golf and good time had by all!
excellent experience
this is a great course for what it is. We took our daughter out for her first golf experience, and it was perfect. Allthough it is an executive style course, it still provided a great test. thanks to everyone there.
What it is...
I was in Laughlin on a trip treating my mom to a Mother's Day weekend and had time for a round near by. By finding this course on Golfnow.com at a very good rate I was off to the course across the river. The course is a little crusty on the greens but it is a desert course in May at 100 degrees. Course employees were helpful and kind. Probably will stop in again when visiting Laughlin / Bullhead City again. Have fun.
Course for beginners.
We played the course last year and the condition of the course is deteriorating. The greens are brutal and not much effort has been put into the tee boxes and fairways. poor value unless you are a beginner or a high handicap golfer
Very friendly staff
If it weren't for the staff, I might not recommend this course right now. Unfortunately, the greens have been terrible this year, and are impossible to putt accurately on. We brought some friends who are quite new to the game, and it was a good 9 for them. We like the course, but hope that they find a way to improve the greens,
horrible greens
Greens very ruff ,bumpy and sandy not worth the money
This course needs water
Greens and fairways were quite dry. Lots of sand on the greens, some had very little grass.
