Tierra Grande Golfcourse
played in early afternoon course mostly open thru-out
the 18 holes had a good time. it is a desert course.
NICE COURSE
NICE AND FAIRLY INEXPENSIVE AT SOME OF THE TIMES. GREAT COURSE FOR LOCALS--EASY DRIVE AND IT'S WELL MAINTAINED.
Goat ranch
You get what you pay for. The are not advertising a great course. This is a beginner course and the people will not let you pass. Don't expect much grass, good greens or good tee boxes. If you understand what you are getting into you will be fine. Don't play in windy conditions you will be in a dust storm. Dirt cart paths.
This is deffinately a DESERT course
The front wasn,t to bad, greens were in good shape. The back is a different story, if you like flat and a lot of roll on your ball, this is the spot.
Well, you get what you pay for...
Yes, this is a budget-minded course. But it serves that need well. The staff are indeed very nice.
The fairways often have gravel so careful with your good clubs here.
The greens and tee boxes are fine. All in all, this course is not trying to be anything it isn't. It is a low cost course with the corresponding facilities you would expect.
good practice place for a desert setting
the place has not changed condition in three years
Good course for beginners & to improve of short game. Very affordable
This course if fun for those who are just starting out golfing or if you want to improve short game. Easy to walk and don't feel rushed. Very reasonable prices and relaxing time.
Great value for the money.
My wife and I arrived early for our round and were able to get out right away. The staff was very friendly and the course was well maintained. It is a little bit of a drive from Gilbert to Casa Grande but the course is great value for the money and we will definitely be back.
Well maintained......
over seeding just completed, and while it was very wet from all the recent rain, it held the water pretty well. Lots of mud off the fairways, not uncommon in this part of AZ......we'll be back. It's a par 67 track, so not exactly an executive course, nor a big course....in between....manageable par 4s and 5s.....fun....and not too crowded.
Super friendly staff
Staff super friendly, great value for the money will play again
Did not care for it
The staff was very friendly, although when booking online, it did say that it included the cart, but when checking in, they charged $5.00 for the cart. Bad advertising! The course was in poor condition.
Not even worth a HOT DEAL
Quite possibly the worst course i have ever played. Limited carts, rude staff, course layout (dont get me started on that). Cheaply carved out course in the middle of nowhere. Waste your money elsewhere
Great Course For No Wait
If you don't want to wait, or you spend time chasing your ball down, then this is a great course for you. Beginners and non-so-great players welcome.
Hot in the summer. Not much shade. Very little water. Few places to clean your ball. One water trap. No sand traps. Lots of wide open space and hard-packed desert floor.
Local, Short Hitter's Course
Difficult to recommend for average to better golfers. Too many short par 4's - four on the back nine at 250 yards or less. Two par 5's at 450 yards. Flat, no views, most holes not very interesting, small/firm/shaggy/slow greens. Most fairways hard pan and many brown/thin spots. It was wide open in the afternoon, so fast play. Price is low, but it is off the beaten path. Don't expect a great golf experience.
.
If you want to get your kids into golf, this is a nice wide open course. The greens were in good shape, no bunkers, and one water hazard. Course length was under 4500. Also, there is no service on the course so make sure you bring necessary items for play.
Pay for what you get
This course is mainly a practice course. The Back nine is nothing but par 4's and 3's which is good if you start on the 10th. Front nine has 2 par 5's and rest is 3's and 4's. couple curved fairways but nothing to major. NO DRIVING RANGE. Just 2 greens that you can putt on which are small. The staff is good. They don't serve main lunches after a certain time, you can only buy snacks and drinks. All in all its a great course for a beginner like myself and someone who wants to practice a bit and tweak your swings. It's cheap and wouldn't pay more than $20 for a round.
A TON OF FUN
Well lets see after finding that it only took an hour to get there from Green Valley AZ, it was a good start to the morning
This course is allot of fun. the greens are in excellent shape. we went out as a twosome and finished just under 3 hours. Well worth the price. Would recommend this course to everyone
Thanks to the two great lady's that took care of the clubhouse
Good value for the money.
Back nine much better layout/shape than the front nine. Front nine....way to much distance from green to next tbox.
female friendly course. ok for the money, went with a female friend
for what it is, it is all right however fairway grass is kept way too short and there is a lot of clover in the fairway. no fringe around greens. course is tight and in that way challenging. biggest fault i experienced was incorrect hole distances. if you play it plan on flag being 10-20 yards shorter than what signs and card says especially on par 3's!!! take a range finder and ignore distance marker. course probably 300 yards shorter in actuality than advertised. very dusty.
