Sunbird Golf Resort
About
The course at the Sunbird Golf Resort is a desert-style course that offers three sets of tee boxes to accommodate most skill levels. This executive length golf course has a country club-type atmosphere and offers a good round of golf. The greens are medium sized with some that are multi-tiered and narrow fairways. Bunkers and trees are also present on the course, adding some challenge since they can greatly affect shots. Water hazards also come into play on a few holes. In addition to the executive course at Sunbird Golf Resort, the facility also offers a putting area and chipping green as well as a fully stocked pro shop.

BKR Review of Sunbird
The course was in great shape tee to green was great.
This is the 3rd time between last year and this year we have played at Sunbird. Previous visits found a receptive staff throughout the facility. However, this visit was not the same. At the 19th hole we went in for a couple of beers and some lunch at the end of our round. The staff is either shorthanded or not interested in serving paying customers. We sat at the bar waiting to be served for several minutes before being served. Then ignored again for several minutes for a second round plus ordering lunch. Not a good way to gain regular customers.
Great course for the money
Always a pleasure playing at Sunbird. My favorite for an Executive 18. Greens are in great shape.
Sun bird
The course is always in great shape very well maintained. and all the people are very friendly I really enjoy golfing there.
Top 3 of the valley
I’ve reviewed this course in the past and felt it needed a reboot.
This course is amazing. Par 66 that is beautiful and competitive. I play the blue /white tees. And I always have a fantastic time. It sits at the southern edge of Maricopa County and the community surrounding is very pleasant. Most residents wave as you pass by. Water plays on a few holes and I’ve fell victim a few times.
I highly recommend this one.
I gave two stars for the staff, it doesn’t matter why. I didn’t golf with them, but one particular staffer is not a pleasant person.
But if you look beyond that, you’ll have a great time.
