Sunbird Golf Resort
About
The course at the Sunbird Golf Resort is a desert-style course that offers three sets of tee boxes to accommodate most skill levels. This executive length golf course has a country club-type atmosphere and offers a good round of golf. The greens are medium sized with some that are multi-tiered and narrow fairways. Bunkers and trees are also present on the course, adding some challenge since they can greatly affect shots. Water hazards also come into play on a few holes. In addition to the executive course at Sunbird Golf Resort, the facility also offers a putting area and chipping green as well as a fully stocked pro shop.

Enjoyable/Playable/Scorable
Really like paying SunBird - we have been in Mesa for 3 weeks and have played several courses - this was the best course in tears of O/A condition tee to green. Definitely something we would play again
Good value but some holes are very close to residences.
Played with a Golf Pass discount. Good short course but many holes very close to residences.
Great Course
Recent rains made the already lush course even greener. Always enjoy playing Sunbird. Ken in the clubhouse is great, always friendly and professional.. I was paired up with three gentlemen from Canada and we had a great time in perfect weather.
Great value course
Nice Executive 18 hole course. Greens were 8n pretty good shape. Pace of play was fast.
Ok for the price
This is a course inside a retirement complex. The course is ok. Needs work. Par 63 with a few interesting holes. FYI you can’t bring in your own beverages, there is no half way house or cart and you can’t get take from the restaurant. Your choice is a limited selection in the pro shop. Slow play as well but nothing else available on that Sunday.
Surprised at the length of the front 9
I really enjoyed my initial round via a hot deal. I used my driver more than I thought I would, even when it wasn’t necessary I could hit it. Took me about 6 holes to understand I was severely restricting my swing in an effort to keep the ball in play, the boundary lines are generous but very obvious you can still hit OB into the homes too!
Reviews did a good job detailing the arrival challenges to locate the pro shop, parking and detail the overall course conditions.
I was very impressed with the short course test of skills and do plan to play it again to play it smarter and look to shoot par our better. It’s very possible to get 3-5 birdies and keep to par and maybe limit the bogies to just a few.
Hit your 4 iron or 5 wood off the first tee and play hole 2 solid it’s tough! If you’re playing well as it has all the elements of sand, water and OB to destroy any par round efforts.
Do it and enjoy!
The course was in good condition
Little slow but the fairways were in good shape.
Golfed with someone who lived there who was very friendly and nice.
Great course for seniors!
Fun little course weave through a development. Sand, water, keep it interesting.
Great value for the money.
Fun Senior Course!
Not too tough, decent layout. Long enough for for a good afternoon, but it doesn't leave you reaching for the ibuprofen.
Some tight spots, but overall it is fairly forgiving. We'll be back.
First time here.
Course played fast. It was as in very good condition. The greens were very good. Overall I would play it again
