Willow Creek Golf Course
About
Situated between Greenville and Spartanburg, Willow Creek Golf Course is a favorite course amongst many area players. The course has a classic layout that starts out gently with a player-friendly front nine but then becomes much more challenging on the back nine. The layout is a seemingly mild 6,890 yards from the back tees but it can feel longer because of all the elevation changes you'll encounter. It's a golf course that will appeal to beginners but advanced players will also enjoy the many risk-reward opportunities that can be found throughout. Water hazards come into play on eight holes and there is a slew of strategically placed bunkers lurking along the greensides. The par-5 fifth hole is Willow Creek Golf Course's signature. This 516-yard hole tumbles across rolling hills with a stream that cuts right through the fairway.

Needs better communication and observation
Booked a tee time for a single at 1:12. When I check in with the starter, my name isn't on the sheet he had which was probably printed way earlier and he says I'll have to find a spot for you. I look on #1 and there was a 2 some teeing off, then 2 4 somes in line. A 2 some goes in front of the 2nd 4 some which he could have easily put me with. I then question why he didn't and he then puts me with another single. Just seems like it could have been handled better. Course seems to be in good shape but I only played through 3 holes
Nice track, will play again
There are a few issues with bunkers on the back 9 but I assume they are working on all of them seeing how the front 9 bunkers seem to have nice new sand. Course is good layout with interesting holes and challenges. Will be back just not sure when. I stay 1.5 hours away.
Good course but had some issues
I really have always loved Wilkins creek. Have played it more times than I can count. But has some issues. We play from the back yellow tees. Most tees boxes are so un level and have dips and mounds that it’s difficult to find a flat spot to tee off from. Those tee boxes really need to be leveled and have new sod put down.
The greens have been decent but they are crazy hard and fast. I’m hoping it’s just cause it’s early in the season. It’s almost impossible to chip and hold the green. The grass was spotty made some putts not roll very true to the line.
Overall it’s a good course but for the money they charge it should be better. It’s more expensive than most courses in the area so the conditions should reflect that.
Very nice
I really enjoyed the layout. Nice greens that would challenge you. Nice amenities and amazing Pizza at the turn. Really enjoyed my round.
Great course for all levels of player
This was a fun course to play even though we were paired with two strangers and did not get to play the entire course. The staff tried to be as accommodating as possible due to the fact that they had over sold the day and were backed up causing us to only get in 12 of the 18 holes we paid to play. They also made us aware that we were required to return the cart by 5pm. They stated this was just put into place that morning. I would have never accepted a 1:20 tee time if I had the information the staff knew. Very poor planning on their part and not a good impression to a new corporate hire looking for a local club to use for entertaining. Certainly will not consider a home in the property neighborhood now.
Willow Creek
Always a good value and fun course to play. With their new greens the surfaces were excellent and fast.
Great Value
What a great price for such a nice place. Course was busy but only waited twice in 9 holes. Beautiful #9 dog leg right. Greens rolled very true.
Nice enough layout and pace of play
I played a late-day round and the course was in a nice overall condition. Nothing overly exciting or memorable, but worth the money.
