No Ranger
Given that it''s the only public course in Flagstaff, it gets busy. We waited for carts for our late round and never saw a ranger. There was a threesome in front of us hacking away that refused to let us play through. The course itself is in great shape with a good layout (back nine layout is far more impressive than front). It plays very short with a handful of boring holes. It is a great course to play if in the area but not one you make a trip up north for like one would for Sedona, Williams, etc.
Simple and straightforward
A decent course with some pretty holes in the woods. It is a bit short (6,000 yds from “back” tees, with a straightforward layout - what you see is what you get. It could be made more challenging with a few more well placed trees, traps and gulleys .
Overall, a reasonable value.
A surprisingly enjoyable experience
The first two holes are very ordinary - BUT it gets better. The back 9 is very picturesque.and there are some excellent holes. Greens are true, fast and slippery.
I'll be back.
Golf at Continental
A very interesting course full of surprises. Fun to play but the rough is really too rough, it needs mowing and the greens needed some TLC.
Nice
Fairways were perfect. Greens were really good, fast, and rolled great. The only thing about this course is that’s just a little on the short side.
To be or not to be Exective
Practice and chipping green was nice and large. Most par 4's were way too short. Cannot comment on. The roll of the greens. It's and experience. Played around 3pm on a Monday and quit after 9 due to pace.
Nice dining area with plenty of outdoor seating.
Perfect Day
Golf in the cool pines on a great course. Excellent staff all around. Lunch on the patio. What could be better?
Nice Course
The course is on the shorter side at 6014 yards. There are only 3 sets of tees. That's all they really need there. The challenge is the elevation changes and many holes have an elevated green to hit to. The greens are on the smaller side and quite a few have a fair amount of slope to them. To the Superintendent's credit the green speed was correct for the sloped greens. Had they been any faster you might see a lot of balls roll off the greens. A very enjoyable course that was in good shape. Fairways were mown on the shorter side (I like that) which allowed for a bit more spin to hold the small elevated greens.
Good course, fair value.
The course was in good condition. Joined 3 players for a foursome and played the round in 4:22. Good pace.
Continental Country Club
The pace of play was poor and no one, Marshall, there to monitor. I had a 2 some ahead of me that would not allow me to play through and they were 3 holes behind the group in front of them. No car person on course, either. Greens had been recently punched, but no one warned me prior to or at check in. Usually love this course. Guy in the clubhouse wa very nice.
