Power Ranch Golf Club
About
With its neighbors being the Santan Range and Superstition Mountain, it is no wonder Power Ranch Golf Club (formerly known as Trilogy Golf Club at Power Ranch) is known for its spectacular views. Although this championship golf course is near a residential area, the course architect, Dick Bailey, insists the homes were routed to accommodate the golf course and not vice versa. The holes amble through the cleansed desert of the Queen Creek wash, which features plenty of interesting elevation changes. Strategically placed mounding and bunkers are situated throughout the golf course. Water hazards also come into play on a few holes. Four sets of tee boxes are available to test experienced golfers and allow beginners to enjoy Power Ranch Golf Club as well.

How come I always have to hit my ball here? Photo submitted by cofgrindr8 on 12/10/2013
Great fairways slow greens
The greens were slow and bumpy
Fairways were awesome
Great course but slow play
Combination of lack of regulation of pace of play with 8 minute tee time intervals lead to extended play and unfinished rounds when you have just one slow foresome. Completed just 15 holes in 4 hours.
Good conditions
Power Ranch is in good condition and changes that have been made by the ownership has improved the conditions. Not sure it’s worth paying more than 125
Bunkers need help
The course was in good shape other than the bunkers. Hitting off hard pan. Should have allowed any bunker shots to be picked up and placed on the grass. Not impressed with what the green fees are.
Great course, great pace
My wife and I played this course a week earlier on the advice of friends, and we liked it so much (even though the weather that day wasn’t great), we went back for a follow up round.
This time, we were paired with another couple who are members at the course. They were delightful and friendly.
The course plays well, presents some challenges (this is a great thing), and was a blast to play! Staff are super helpful and focused on customer service. All in all excellent value, and we will be sure to rebook next time we come to AZ!
Great course and great pace!
We played this course for the second time in a week and were rewarded.
Thanks to the course staff, the members we were paired with, and everyone who made us feel so welcome!
Course is in good shape
Course played well … from tee to green. Some tee boxes could use watering, as it could be a challenge to insert a tee. Some fairways were cut the proper length, whereas some were cut too short (making it a challenge for some shots). Some fairway sand traps were lacking sand, were concrete-like. Sand traps nearer the greens had sufficient sand. Greens were good, but a little slow. Pace of play for the front 9 was under 2 hours, though the back 9 was much slower (2.5 hours), with numerous holes waiting on every shot. With a TeeOff Hot Deal, PRGC was indeed a good value.
always enjoyable
Played Power Ranch for the first time this year. The tees and fairways are in excellent shape. The bunkers, like most Valley courses, lack sand. The greens were a bit on the bumpy side as no one is fixing ball marks. We had a 45 minute frost delay. Instead of a 1:16pm start we were bumped back to 1:58 but still got the round in. The starter was excellent and really stayed on top of getting groups out onto the course.
Great condition
Grest layout. Fairways excellent. Greens firm but putt true. Hole to hole variety is excellent. Fairway bunkers need a little work but greenside bunkers were acceptable. Had a great time and will come again.
A Great Track
This course is one of the best in Queen Creek area. Very good manicured fairways with exceptionally well maintained large greens. Professional helpful staff as well. Great bar/ dining room. My only criticism is that for a course of this quality there are no ball washers on any tee boxes. I’m beginning to think this is standard practice in the Apache Junction/ Mesa area.
