Glen Lakes Municipal Golf Course not only provides a good game of golf but also excellent practice facilities and a learning center that offers free lessons. The course features several lengthy par 3s and par 4s. It is beginner friendly but it also offers plenty of challenge to the experienced golfer. Water comes into play on nine holes and the rolling terrain creates tricky uneven lies. There are also strategically placed bunkers protecting the greens to watch out for. Glen Lakes Municipal Golf Course boasts outstanding practice facilities including a lighted driving range that stays open late and in the summer there are misting systems to keep golfers cool.

Slightly run down out dated 9 hole course
Glen Lakes is a slightly rundown outdated 9 hole course.Very few bunkers that are so far off course that they hardly come into play, makes for a slightly boring round.There are several areas around the greens where they use to have sand however now they are just filled in grass areas. The course is very hard to navigate, when is very few cart paths.Several holes are missing the signs that tell you which hole you are on and the yardage. Broken tree limbs line the side of the fairway. The range balls are in very rough shape and that Matts are mostly all missing that rubber tees.I feel this course is run down and could use a good makeover.

Newly opened recently, the course offers a different look to the local golfer's that played here in the past (me included). The hole's are renumbered, I belive a plus, easy and quick to play. With 6 par four's and 3 par 3's, it's a nice nine hole course. Good for the intermeadiate player. I'm a happy golfer.
Not worth the effort.
Took my wife as she enjoys shorter courses. Course was not crowded yet play was very slow. Fairways and greens are dried out. That was my first and last trip to this course.

This course under its new management is tremendously improved. It has a much more professional appeal. The grounds and the greens are better than i have ever seen them and constantly improving. A practical re-arrangement of the course makes much more sense than it previously did. The course now plays more smoothly and effeciently. Hands on new managerial approach has created lots of new features and benefits for all players, including the youth. This Club is on its way to becoming a Top Notch facility. Keep up the good work. Your efforts are greatly appreciated and supported !!!
OPPORTUNITIES FOR A GREAT 9!
This round was my warm up before my round at Southern Ridge Golf Course in Laveen. I had an okay round, will return to play Glen Lakes in the future. When I hit my drives well, I like the opportunity of hitting pitch shots/flops for either a birdie or par. Glen Lakes provides that for me.
