Bellair Golf Club
Bellaire Golf Course in addition to being a good place to practice one's short game it also tests accuracy with long irons. The course aptly tests control over the ball with the irons. Par 4s make up over half the hole at this executive length golf course. Every one of the greens are heavily bunkered and water hazards come into play on a few holes as well. It is close to a residential area but that only creates more narrow fairways, adding more challenge to the game. The course is well shaded and also well maintained, but play can be slow on occasion. Bellaire Golf Course offers many discounts, including a twilight discount, a super twilight discount, and there is also an early morning special.

Courses green worst Ive ever seen playing on clumps of dead grass
The place looks abandoned! Was told water was off due to mower not working. ! Its a dump!!!!!
SAVE YOUR MONEY
This course is a disaster. The pro shop staff informed me AFTER the round that the water pumps were broke and will be up and running soon. There was no warning or alert on the tee time as to the conditions. There is not 1 blade of grass on this course, maybe a few on the greens. It is a dirt field. Probably doing your game more harm than good playing here.
Out of Business
See review from May 20th. I had the same experience, not a blade of grass on the course and they told me the pumps were broke till a few days ago. Obviously they are not telling the truth. I believe they are going "out of business" and this place should be shut down NOW.
It a complete disgrace that they let anybody play on it in these conditions.
don't play here
Save your money and go somewhere else! They don't even have grass its mostly weeds! On top of that's everything is dry. I suggest picking another course.
challenging for the short game
Course in fairly good condition. Wish there were more par 4s. Pace slowed down on back nine.
Some of the overhanging tree branches near the tee boxes need to be trimmed.
Good for Social Distancing COVID
Wasn't very busy on the range and on the course. We went out as a twosome. At least two holes in front of were empty and one hole behind us the whole time. so if you're looking to social distance I think this qualifies. I did see them cleaning carts but still gave our cart a through wipe down and used hand sanitizer regardless. Fairways and gréens were groomed and in okay shape. No Bev cart while we were there and no water jugs in the course so byo whatever. Rate was $30 for 18 with cart.
I have been playing this course for over 30 yrs and never had an issue worth speaking of till now, Fairways not mowed in days lots balls due to 6 inch grass. Some green fine others have some much debris on them you can't putt. Hope this well be fixed, for now another course.
Good - staff friendliness, value
Bad - course was light in attendance but starter still wanted to pair everyone up - then put a single behind us - could have done twosome
Ugly - the rough - have not mowed the rough in a while - even lost a ball in the fairway
course was not mowed for 2 weeks tees fairways 4 in long if this course is taken care of its a great track
Not worth it
I was dying to play today grabbed a decent Tee time at a cheap rate. BAD idea free possibly would have been over priced. Forced to play outside of fairway since that is the only place you will be able to find your ball. Tee box was rough and every fairway was 6-8 inches long and over grown with clovers. Impossible to recover ball after any drive.
How to ruin a golf course
I used to play this course often, but under the current conditions, no way!!!
The course played like it hadn't had water all winter. The course was dry as a bone. It was difficult to get a tee into the ground to tee off.
Your ball did roll for ever. The greens were supper fast without water and the traps as hard as a rock.
The cafe was also closed so we could not get fountain water.
The sand traps need to be reworked, either put in sand or till the up the existing sand and groom it. If you find y yourself in a sand trap it is like hitting a ball in the parking lot.
