Suspect fairways
This was my first time playing at London Bridge and I loved it. I will definitely play there again. Fairways are suspect but the greens are in good condition.
Local course
Nice price for hot summer afternoon and convenient. It is poorly run and has bad management and maintenance. It is overpriced and a bother to play in the other seasons!
Nice Greens
Greens are in good shape. fairways are pretty burned out in spots and bunkers are mostly dirt with some rocks, so be careful when playing out of them
Enjoyed the round
The greens were above average, fast and true. Not as dry as I thought they might be with the dry hot weather. They could have been softer, but then again, the weather. am challenging course.
Average course
Played for first time today. Fairway grass spotty--has dry/less grassy spots on many holes. Greens slow and in generally good shape. Homes close to fairways on quite a few holes--fairly easy to put a drive in someone's back yard. Price very good. Hardly anyone on course in mid-afternoon.
London fun
Played as a single and was paired up with threesome. Great guys. Very beautiful scenery of the Colorado river. Nice staff. Really enjoyed the course.
Olde London, Lake Havasu City, AZ
This course was my home course until Management forgot how to manage and maintain a golf course. The layout is a great test of golf, but the lack of routine maintenance and a proper watering system has hurt the play ability.
Poor value
The course is an ok layout but the conditions are very poor. The fairways are dried out. The sand traps are the worst I've seen and the greens don't bite. Regular rates are way too high for what you get.
fairways need improvement
The course really needs to improve the fairways.
We got a deal with golfnow, I would nevery pay the full price for both of their 18 holes, Nassau and Olde London.
Awesome weather
Overall a pretty good golf experience. THe sand traps can use some attention (a lot of rocks and very course sand). Greens were in great shap, albeit a little on the slow side.
More Great Golf
Beautiful day, good friends, all Seahawk fans made for a great outing. First time in a while with no waiting in front of us. Enjoyed every minute of my round (well, almost every minute).
Slow play Great weather
Bring extra balls Just enough water to get you in trouble
Olde London course
Fairways are good. The rough is sparse. Greens are excellent
Easy access in town
Great place to play in Havasu for the price. Lots of locals so sometimes difficult to get early tee times
Reasonable golf at a high price unless you get a deal.
The condition of the course is good, but it is hard to play wedges from very tight lies. A good place to use a lot of bump and runs. Pleasant, but not outstanding with a lot of dead/coarse sand areas off the fairways. Make sure you have your desert club with you.
London Bridge Has Not Fallen Down - Yet
FIrst, the positives: No trouble getting a tee time as a single. Lots of palm trees. Hilly terrain and dog legs make for an interesting layout, visually and playing-wise. Fairways and greens did not have many bare spots. Play took slightly over 4 hours.
The cons: Houses line both sides of nearly every fairway. There is almost no view of Lake Havasu or anything else for that matter. The sand traps have rocks in them, LOTS of rocks. If you can hit out of them with your "desert club," okay, but I I would not advise taking a good wedge into one. A handle on one of the rakes was cracked and gave me wonderful fiberglass slivers to remind me of my bunker woes. Worst, the greens were like cement. You have to bump-and-run unless the pin is in the back. The clubhouse really should be replaced, it is that old. The cramped men's bathroom was not clean.
olde course
Some tight fairways, this course is really alot of fun. Greens were excellent.
The greens were very slow, and the tee boxes needed mowing. Traps had no sand, more like a mixture of sand and dirt, wih little rocks.
The golf course was well laid out. My wife is very new at the game and another set of tees shorter for her would have been better. The tee boxes were not mowed (over an 1 1/2 long. Fairways were fair. The approaches were also very long and needed attention. The greens needed rolling as they were bumpy and slow. The cups were cut and needed more attention.
The staff was very nice and helpful.
Course does not cater to out of towners
Was charged more than Golf Now showed Golf now said we owed $116.00 at the course however were charged $125.10 with no explanation. Apparently this course also condones players hitting into groups of front of them even though the front group is playing at a reasonable speed, got hit into three times and course managements suggestion was to speed up our play. They catered to the faster 3-some behind our foursome, had they not had a long ball hitter they would not have caught us even though we were a foursome. We did allow one group to play through because they we a foursome each with their own cart. (four players four power carts. The Threesome that hit into us had a player that could reach 300 plus of the tee and I guess was showing us he could. The only reason they even caught us was we had to wait on the 7th hole to allow a lady to catch her dog, this cost us about 15 minutes while she walked up and down the fairway trying to catch her dog with no regard to players on course. All in all not and enjoyable day. Even with the delay we completed the front 9 in under 2 hours, so the group behind us hitting into us was a total disregard to golf courtesy but being the locals they were not even talked to by Management. absolutely would never play this course again not recommend it to my friends
Not a Bad Course
The course was pretty good overall. We enjoyed our round. However some bunkers were hard due to rain the evening before & some had lots of water in them. Greens were not too bad but some were very bumpy. Washroom in clubhouse was in very poor condition. Golf carts were old & noisy.
