Stripe Show Golf Club
About
The golf course at Stripe Show Golf Club (previously known as Freedom Golf Course) is a walker-friendly and affordable venue for juniors, beginners and experienced golfers in search of a pleasant round. The executive length course has a risk-and-reward layout for an interesting game. This course may be short but there are several challenging elements. Situated on a terrain of rolling hills, golfers can expect uneven lies and elevation changes adding some interesting elements to the course. Water hazards come into play on several holes and there are strategically placed sand bunkers present on the course as well. Stripe Show Golf Club is well maintained with plenty of nice, shady areas.

Nice course
Nice little course, very good value. Owners have come along way in short period of time. Enjoyed the quick round.
Has great potential!
I’m a beginner, and having half the holes over water is a bit daunting. Overall it’s a beautiful course, several small lakes and lots of tree cover. Turf conditions are not spectacular, but good practice for a beginner to learn reading the greens. Inexpensive, generally not overcrowded. New management is friendly and making great strides.
Needs work
We met one of the owners and he was super friendly and they are working on re-establishing this course. But in the meantime the greens are in horrible condition and the bathroom is an outhouse so just be prepared for that. The course is also pretty difficult for a nine-hole short course.
Would not golf there again
The conditions of this course were terrible. The rate was really low, and we got what we paid for. This course needs a lot of work.
Fun course
Great little course, challenging (very narrow) the course needs some TLC. Had a great time, will surely go back and play it again.
Potential.
The staff were honest and friendly. They are building a course back from abandonment. The course is in rough shape, but I can’t wait to go back and play again. I will be going out there weekly to walk 9 and relax.
Challenging course, great value
This course was difficult but fun. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Price was well worth it. Course conditions are a bit under par but nothing so bad you can’t golf. A LOT of water on this course
As advertised this course is a work in progress. Staff was very friendly. Would love fo come back next year and see the improvements!
Best course for beginner golfers
This course is my favorite place to come and work on my game without judgement or feeling rushed I love the staff super friendly and helpful
Good value, fun course
The course is definitely a work in progress but has potential. The greens and tee boxes are in particularly rough shape, to the point where they’ve added turf mats on a couple of the tee boxes (it might just be easier to do that on every hole lol). Regardless, it’s a good spot to practice with your higher lofted clubs and has a pretty good range with cheap prices as well. If you’re looking for a place to get some practice in, you can’t go wrong with this course.
Great staff, fun course and has potential for more
The course is in bad shape. However, the owners are super friendly and told us they are in the process of remodeling it. We booked it for $12.99 online however, they only charged us $10 due to course conditions. They want to make it night course. Regardless, It has great potential to be a great par 3 course. Clean up the tee boxes, fairways and greens. They also get quite a bit of people rolling through. They provide walking carts. Pace of play is quick. They sell cool gear and have a grill on site. Honestly, I’d come back to play. The only issue I have is tee boxes are in bad shape and the greens are horrendous. But it’s a fun yet challenging course. Par 4s will make you shape the shot or lay up. Even with all that said, for the price of a large bucket of balls on normal courses, you get to play 9 holes on a fun par 3 course. Pretty good deal if you ask me.
New Management, Work in progress
The course is under new management, and working on restoring the course. A round is $10 and a cart rental is $2 if booked at the course. Took a little over an hour to walk 9, the pace of play was good. Perfect course to work on your short game, or for newer/younger golfers. Once they restore a few of the neglected greens it’ll be perfect. Also heard they may be working towards adding lights for night golf in the future. Which would be great in the AZ summers.
Quick Round
Can't beat the price for a quick round after work. The course is under newer management and they are clearly working hard to improve it, so don't arrive with any lofty country club expectations. Friendly staff and quick pace of play. Simply enjoy the good deal while working on your short game. Great for beginners!
Great fun course
This is our third time playing this course and we loved every round. It is an “Iron only” course that has lots of variety and challenges along the way. It is a work in progress, but the huge overgrown trees will prove to be quite the benefit this summer for their shade. Great value for the money, and I plan to play at least once a week for the next several months!
