Fun course
Pace was good. Ground was very hard, ball will roll for days.
Helmet golf!
Maybe it was just a mistake to play on a weekend at noon but it was soooo slow and you had to watch balls incoming from many directions. It was truly helmet golf. There was often two groups on the tee boxes waiting. There is no way golf should take that long to play especially with a cart. Nope won’t be back.
Good price for a good course
Good price through golf now! This is a good municipal course!
Good municipal course
The woman’s tees are too long! Good layout and greens and pace of play was good
Generally Good Conditions
Encanto GC played well, though some tee boxes needed some TLC; fairways were good and offered good roll; greens were quite firm, forcing shots to be lagged as there was no hold; rough was still playable; while each sand trap (which there are many) was very diverse in sand levels, making shots unfairly challenging. Pace was good (4 hrs. even), as was value. Enjoyed the round and the company (I was paired with a fun threesome of regulars).
Right Price
Course for everyone with little trouble and many parallel fairways. Municipal pace of play 4.5+ and no pretty add ons. Just basic golf at a good price if you can get a tee time. Parking is really tough on weekends so may have to park across the street near 18 green.
Value Muni
If you’re just looking to play, no frills, wide open course and can get a tee time this one’s for you. Short and straight with many side by side holes make this friendly for all handicaps. If you can get a tee time, $60 with a cart is good value. Slow pace of play and no memorable holes don’t make it a have to play, but an afternoon with the boys at a good rate this will more than do.
Consistent
Encanto plays hard and fast so bump and runs is a good strategy. Greens are impressively consistent
Good Value
Nice course with cool views of some Phoenix skyline at a reasonable price. Played this muni course twice during a vacation and found it enjoyable. Rough is pretty dry but not desert. Fairways and greens were in nice shape and the staff was helpful. Not the easiest course to get a tee time but worth the effort to play golf for the $60 we paid. Wife shot her lowest score ever so she really liked it.
