Palo Verde Golf Course
Palo Verde Golf Course offers nine holes of executive-length golf, coming in at par-30, and tee times can be reserved up to a week in advance; the golf course also features a lighted driving range for evening swings.
A round of golf at the Palo Verde Golf Course kicks off on the par-4, 300-yard first hole, which is about the biggest distance you'll have to cover until you reach the ninth, a par-4 that is the golf course's longest, at 305 yards. All but one of the remaining holes are par-3s that come in under 200 yards.

Most par 3 courses are in poor shape. This course was in great shape and the greens were excellent. Putts moved a lot if you were not in front of the pin. Shot 1 over.
Nice first round play
This course is a nice executive type course that is great to play as your first round of the season. 3 par 4's and the rest par 3's.
Thank you for taking the time to write a review. We agree, Palo Verde is a nice way to get your golf season started. All the best this golf season. We look forward to seeing you soon. Thank you
Nice local course
Great course for a quick 9 to work on the irons, can get the driver out on a few holes too.
I was really impressed with the condition of the turf. I walked the course and all aspects are in superb condition. Bigger and more expensive courses should pay attention to what's being done at this little course. I will be back.
Played the course off a recommendation. Turned out to be perfect for my wife who just started but still good enough to let me use driver on some holes and still work on my irons. Looking for a quick round in central Phoenix, come here! Think it was $12 to walk 18.
Thank you for taking the time to review your experience at Palo Verde. We are so pleased you enjoyed it and look forward to seeing you again real soon.
Fairways and greens and all the best in between!
I enjoyed the course and the greens were fast! :) Staff was excellent, nice people abound. A great place to work on your irons and putting!
Its an old city course but its in the best shape ever, the greens are soft and receptive. Overall it's a real good bang for the buck. Ill be back. I sometimes practice putting chipping and use the driving range. Last fall I bought some clothing items on sale and got some really nice stuff at a real good price.
Great 9 hole course
Course is in great shape, usually not crowded, can play in about 90 minutes. Staff is very friendly, juniors are welcome and play free with paid adult after noon on Sundays. Great bargain in Central Phoenix.
For a quick and pleasant 9 hole round, Palo Verde fills the bill. Three par 4's and 6 par 3's make up the course layout. Walking is easy on this flat course and is recommended over using a cart. Play your irons and hybrids and leave the driver in the bag on the par 4's.
Your short game will be tested and the greens provide plenty of undulation, slope and challenge to keep you focused.
Staff are friendly, helpful and welcoming.
A nice putting and chipping area and a well kept practice range enhance the amenities at PV.
A perfect course for the novice as well as the better player.
Great course for the coin
I like this course a lot. Driving range, nice golf carts, fairways in great shape, greens were in excellent condition and pace of play was good considering the holiday. I wish I had a chance to use my driver more but all the par threes makes you work on that important short game. I would definitely play Palo Verde again.
In all fairness
First 9 top walk was $14 on line. To repeat on site was an additional $6. The only complaints I would have is how many people who were SLOW on a simple course layout, but they payed the same greens fees as anyone, so......
Beautiful weather, and for what it is, Palo Verde is a place I would recommend (over seeding has been done, and its all good).
Good lil track
Not bad lil executive 9. The first and last holes are the only holes to use driver. This course is not too difficult but will test your iron play. Fairways and greens were a bit longer than usually but still overall decent course. With smaller chipping and putting greens to practice and driving range which is only like 220 yards until you hit fence. I’ve hit over on a few monster drives. Not too shabby of a course par is 30
Pleasant morning at Palo Verde
We had a very pleasant morning at the Palo Verde course. It was in good condition right after overseeing. Greens were slow but in good condition otherwise.
Staff were friendly and helpful. An enjoyable experience overall.
Very good value!
I played a few days after aeration so the greens were bumpy, but the staff warned me in advance and this has to happen a couple of times every year. Beyond that, I found the course (9-holes, par 30) in surprisingly good shape. It was easy to the course is well maintained. Best "bang for the buck" I've found in years.
