Heard this course had closed, then heard that the city had taken it over. Showed up not expecting much, by the other reviews. After talking with the pro shop staff, was surprised to hear that OB Sports had taken over the management.
The course was in excellant condition, the greens were a 10, the fairways and tees at least an 8. Like most city courses the bunkers were the sore spot. Luckily there aren't many on the course.
The course has a wash running thru it, and it crosses many of the fairways. There are a few ponds on the course and a lake in front of hole 14.
This will be a real good muni, if the next 6 months of improvement is as good as the last 6. It's a simple golf, pure old time desert , course,. No rough and dirt areas between the fairways.
If your in the area, give it a chance.
