Willowcreek Golf Course
About
Willowcreek Golf Course in Sun City has one regulation length 18-hole course, the Willowcreek Course, as well as one executive length course, the Willowbrook Course. The traditional layout of the Willowcreek Course features three lakes that form water hazards that come into play on four holes. The course is relatively flat but there are some minor rolling hills that cause uneven lies. The fairways and greens are consistently in good condition on both courses and they are both considered very user-friendly. The Willowcreek Golf Course facility used to be private but it is now open to the public.

One of the best Sun City courses IMO
We golf Sun City in either March or April for the past 10 years. This is our 3rd time at the Sun City Courses. We love this course. Love the layout, pretty good pace, even though they try to schedule a 5-some every tee time Got matched up with 3 fine gentlemen, my husband and myself. Truly had a great time.
Good time
The greens were in excellent shape. The pace was great for a Saturday
Great course!
Fun, good greens, asks although paver off play was a bit slower on the front, it opened up on the back. That's to beexpected in the middle of Spring Break though as everyone wants to get out and play.
Not the longest but very challenging
I thought this course would be fairly simple considering the length but boy was I wrong. Hard a difficult time with greens speeds and the dry short fairways could not hold the ball from traveling OB or in a creek.
You’ll be tempted to “Go For It” on the shorter par 4s but be warned. Hazards await. Play it smart and straight unless you want to have a bad day.
Pace was excellent although they were letting groups of 5 out behind us.
Not the best value considering a lack of beverage cart unless you have a Sun City pass. Seem to cater to those 55+ with their own carts.
Too Many Fivesomes
Check in smooth. Started as foursome and they sent out a fifth to catch up. Of the 4 groups in front and two behind 5 were fivesomes with a twosome in front of us that was barely keeping pace. 2 1/2 hour front 9 - no need for this. Greens in decent shape and consistent but some bare areas starting to show. Course is quirky with anything to the right going down to water as there is no grass to stop/slow the ball. Fairways also thin in spots.
Course could use a little help
This course could use some TLC. The pace of play was very slow because groups were sent out every 7 minutes, some groups of 5 making it even slower. The fairways, greens, and sand traps were in good shape, but the lack of rough made it frustrating when a great drive results in you ball rolling all the way across the fairway, across 50 feet of rough and into the water hazard. the is short enough to put on. Hole 14 is the hole I refer to. The were others equally as challenging.
Decent Sun City Course
Check in was very smooth. Started on time. Pace a little slow but ok. Greens in good shape and consistent. Fairways in decent shape. Typical of other Sun City courses rough is hit or miss with many bare lies. Bunkers were tough with very compacted below the surface.
The unfriendly Course
I don't think I've played a course , that has sloped more fairway fringes, rough, and green surrounds, to funnel your ball into either their creek/ canal that runs the length of the majority of the course or the several lakes around the course. The course may have been designed for grass originally . The current grounds keeper apparently prefers to shave the majority of the course down to the dirt. Most of the trouble is hidden from view .
5 somes are slow.
Front nine was extremely slow. We waited on every tee as the group ahead of us was a 5 some. They quit after 9 and we flew around the back 9.
