Union Hills Golf & Country Club
The golf course at the Union Hills Country Club is a championship course with a traditional layout. The course has been named one of the Top Ten Private Courses in Arizona. The design features four lakes and two winding creeks that create water hazards that come into play on a few holes. There are also several sand bunkers present. Some of the golf course's greens are elevated and the fairways are average sized in width. The signature hole is the par-4 14th hole, which requires a carry over water. Union Hills Country Club also has a putting green and full driving range for golfers to use.

For being 110 degrees at the turn the course was in really good shape. Hasn't rained in months and the fairways.were green. The traps and greens were in good shape. The staff were great. If it wasn't 115 when we finished I would have played 18 more.
Greens in fine shape...
But the fairways were spotty in a lot of areas throughout the course. Lots of bare spot lies in the middle of the fairway. Sand traps in decent enough condition. Pace of play was excellent, our twosome finished in exactly 3 hours...
Great Shape for Summer Golf
Course was in very good shape for July, especially the greens. Fairways had a few bare spots here and there, There’s lots of mature trees for shade and also to keep you from getting away with a bad shots. A very fun course.
Hole in One
The course, as always, was in excellent condition. I hit a 7 wood off of the tee @ #7 , 170 yd. par 3. the shot was right on target, then it suddenly disappeared. I became very anxious as I had never seen this before. Sure enough when I reached the hole, there it was....
WHAT A ROUND!!
good for summer play
Being the summer season in AZ this course was is good shape and greens were good. Nice landscape and tree's, nice staff when checking in and course was not crowded at early morning tee time. Will play again as many of the AZ courses at this time of year are very sun dried and greens are very hard/dry.
Not amazing but good
The course was just above fair condition! Pretty green but had some rough spots. Be ready for dog leg lefts. Overall I’d probably come back and play again
A nice track...
Overall the course was in pretty decent shape, the fairways were a bit spotty in some areas. But no worse than other courses around town. Enjoyed the pace of play, finished in a bit over 3 hours. Worth your effort and money to play it.
Course in best shape this time of year
Union Hills has not disappointed us during the summer months. Course is in great shape fairways and greens.
WE;VE PLAYED THIS COURSE SEVERAL TIMES, GREENS WERE A LITTLE FAST, BUT WITH THE HIGH TEMPS LATELY, IT WAS FINE. PRETTY STRAIGHT FORWARD GOLF COURSE NOT TOO DIFFICULT.
Union Hills used to be one of my favorite courses in the northern Phoenix area but no longer. I had back surgery around 2 months ago so I’m not able to swing fully yet. I went there at 5:30am today, Monday and there were only 3 other cars in the lot. I asked if I could rent a cart to chip and putt around the back 9. I told the man in the pro shop that I’d be willing to pay for a full 18 plus the rate for 18 holes using the cart. He suggested that I only use the practice chipping green and putt there. I am trying to improve my game without getting bored. But he said no. I am beyond flummoxed as to why they don’t want my money but as far as I’m concerned, they can go out of business.
P. S. They had plenty of openings on their tee sheet
Course was in overall good shape. Greens were sloooooow but putted fairly well. One hole missing social distancing insert. My bratwurst at the turn was burned to a crisp. But everyone was friendly and helpful.
