Union Hills Golf & Country Club
The golf course at the Union Hills Country Club is a championship course with a traditional layout. The course has been named one of the Top Ten Private Courses in Arizona. The design features four lakes and two winding creeks that create water hazards that come into play on a few holes. There are also several sand bunkers present. Some of the golf course's greens are elevated and the fairways are average sized in width. The signature hole is the par-4 14th hole, which requires a carry over water. Union Hills Country Club also has a putting green and full driving range for golfers to use.

Course was in good shape. Fun layout, generous fairways, some tucked pins. Great value. Highly recommend.
The course is good condition EXCEPT the greens haven’t totally recovered from aeration and was very difficult to determine speed
Union Hills C. C.
Course was in generally good condition for this time of year in AZ. Fairways & Greens were in good condition. No cart girl and the grille was also closed, I think. Would have been nice to have had a cold beer after the round.
Hey, I also wanted to say that it was nice that they had water in the ballwashers and sand for filling divots. I am ready to get back into normal golf.
This course was in the roughest shape I've seen it in a long time. Fairways were patchy in a lot of places and greens were long, bumpy, and gritty. It looks like they were punched maybe 7-10 days ago...
Price was reasonable for the conditions on this course. Fun layout, it's just that time of year in this neck of the woods....
Shaking My Head
I have played this course multiple times and today was just a TERRIBLE experience. While I was unaware of the recent aeration, this is a necessity and I take full blame for not looking into this prior to my arrival. All 18 tee boxes were in ridiculous shape consisting of bare patches and Spurge “creepy crawly” weeds. Honestly.......the majority of the greenery on EVERY tee box was Spurge weeds growing together which messed with my eyes when looking down on the ball; not the best situation when driving. While this was absolutely annoying, I’m a pretty low maintenance guy who normally doesn’t complain and can overlook almost anything. This low review has little to do with the aforementioned issues, but rather the lack of a Marshall and SLOW pace of play. There were 2 groups ahead of us who were so slow a foursome of 10-year-olds with no athletic ability could have ran circles around them. A phone call was made to the clubhouse to request a Marshall who did make a presence in his cart an hour later around hole 15, but he didn’t even stop to tell the group in front of us they needed to pick up the pace of play. There is no reason this course should take OVER 4 hours to play whatsoever. Ok.....I’m now going to forget about my morning round and move on with life! Good luck to anyone who decides to play here; I won’t be returning even if it were free.
Course undergoing aerification of the greens...
Greens being aerified this week, had to play front nine twice. Should be some kind of warning posted on GolfNow when this is happening so the buyer has some idea of what he is getting into. Fairways were in spotty condition with bare spots throughout....
I agree. Sorry you missed the alerts but we do require GolfNow to post them in 2 places.
For being 110 degrees at the turn the course was in really good shape. Hasn't rained in months and the fairways.were green. The traps and greens were in good shape. The staff were great. If it wasn't 115 when we finished I would have played 18 more.
Greens in fine shape...
But the fairways were spotty in a lot of areas throughout the course. Lots of bare spot lies in the middle of the fairway. Sand traps in decent enough condition. Pace of play was excellent, our twosome finished in exactly 3 hours...
Great Shape for Summer Golf
Course was in very good shape for July, especially the greens. Fairways had a few bare spots here and there, There’s lots of mature trees for shade and also to keep you from getting away with a bad shots. A very fun course.
