Union Hills Golf & Country Club
About
The golf course at the Union Hills Country Club is a championship course with a traditional layout. The course has been named one of the Top Ten Private Courses in Arizona. The design features four lakes and two winding creeks that create water hazards that come into play on a few holes. There are also several sand bunkers present. Some of the golf course's greens are elevated and the fairways are average sized in width. The signature hole is the par-4 14th hole, which requires a carry over water. Union Hills Country Club also has a putting green and full driving range for golfers to use.

Other reviews
Enjoyed playing this course. My first time. Course is in very good condition. I play once a week. Played most courses in the valley. Don't understsnd the bad reviews. I hesitated playing here because of it. Going to play here again soon & often.
Fun course and the best burgers!
The course was in fantastic shape. We loved the new GOA units on the golf carts as well. Tammy was on the grill as always and honestly is a big reason we love playing there. If we have a choice between a few courses the conversation is typically “do we want to play this course, that course or get Tammy burgers?” She always wins 😀
Unfriendly place
Range was closed due to junior golf tournament. Cashier could not say if range would reopen before our round or if we would tee off on time. His only suggestion was that i should have signed up for the junior tournament (i am over 60)
Luckily we found a tee time only 5 miles away st a different course thanks to the Golf Now app!
Friendly staff
Friendly staff corse is old and outdated has tons of potential. Needs some love. Fairways were in great shape but you miss the fairway by a foot your hitting off dirt, weeds, and rocks no grass at all in. Fairways bunkers were full of overgrown weeds and deemed unplayable. It’s not worth 80-100+ a round ton of other places to play in the Phoenix area with better conditions for that amount
The course was in great shape, especially considering the rain and new area in recent days. I had hoped for a more Prisk course with mountains in the backdrop, however, this course whines through a housing track, and there was no mountains in view. But don’t let that stop you. It was plenty of challenges and great fair ways to deal with.
Course keeps getting better
The course is under new ownership, and it shows. Price was lower than most public courses in the area, but quality was comparable. The new golf carts make a huge difference. Dead trees are gone, and fairways and greens look better than ever. Rough still needs some work to remove weeds and fill in bare spots. I will play again, especially if it continues to improve like this.
Best greens I've seen this year
The greens were in great shape even though tough slopes and tricky pin positions, they rolled very true. I do wish players would fix their ball marks, it's a problem here in Arizona, I do not understand it but there it is. The course is a bit long for an old dude like me but I'm ok with bogey golf. It is a fun track. The only negative is that the tee boxes are pretty torn up.
Great course, rude staff
I played this course once before and went back because I enjoyed it the first time. The pro-shop staff is great but from what I've read is the maintenance person is anything but friendly. There was another group near me that was beyond the cart path signs, yet he berates me. He reeks of cigarettes' and is power hungry. If you run into him pretend you do not speak English or be rich enough to buy the golf course and fire him.
Good shape and good value
Course was in great shape. The greens were in good shape with decent speed. Pace of play was ok. Just at 4 hours. Overall I would recommend.
Staff are extremely rude!
They have a maintenance guy named Allen that's very weird. He will follow you around the course trying to act like he owns the golf course. We parked in dead grass on the right side of the course and he yelled at us. Then we parked on the far left side of the green in dead grass and he yelled at us. Then we slid a very small amount in dead grass because it was wet grass due to it being early in the morning and he shoved us out of our cart and took our keys from the golf cart. And told us we are done. I left a Google review and they responded saying I damaged there golf course and they hope we never come back and they hope we never play golf again. I would highly recommend staying away from this course. There are a few really nice courses near this area that I would highly recommend over this one. And typically have cheaper rates.
Place to play!
Reasonably priced this time of year. everybody that works there is so friendly and welcoming!
I must've ran into him too. Guy's a power hungry maniac who reeks of cigarettes'.
