About
Shalimar Golf Club is a nine-hole golf course in Tempe. The course is best for beginners but it has enough challenges in store to make it a great option for more advanced players who want a quick round. The layout is comprised of three par 3s and six par 4s. It weaves through a smattering of mature trees and across gently rolling hills. The small greens can be quite tricky, especially since there are strategically placed bunkers lurking along some. Water hazards come into play on a few holes, including the 155-yard fifth, which is one of the golf course's toughest. You'll have to pull off a carry over the area's biggest lake to a heavily bunkered, narrow green. Shalimar Golf Club's ninth hole is the most well known though, mainly for the island green. In addition to the water, there are also four bunkers surrounding the green.

First and Last
The course is closing down permanently. last day is said to be 4/30/25.
Sad to see the course close but it is time
Sadly this course is in the final month before it closes and you can tell. Bar has closed down and the course is no longer being maintained.
Several of the holes no longer have flags on them of signs because the residents have stolen them.

Course is closing and they’re not maintaining it so the greens were like concrete
Maintenance person has no manner
The guy driving for grass when I am standing at tee box
Very bothering for playing
He is taliking on the phone or driving car so that makes dusty grass
So clubhouse staff teach them about the etiquette on tee box

Course was good, pace for the day, very slow, T boxes in poor condition
Fun 9 hole course
This course is ideal for me and my game. It is always enjoyable and a good time. Please help save this course from the Greedy Apartment Builders that want to tear it down and ruin the neighborhood.
Needs TLC
This course for a Excutive par 33 had some interesting holes but the course conditions were extremely bad. Needs lots of upkeep. Definitely not worth the $30+ we paid.
Closing
Course is shutting down so the maintenance on the field is suffering
Fairways
The best part of this course was the bunkers. They had just trimmed, edged all the bunkers and they really looked nice. But the fairways were terrible. Little grass and lots of barestops.Definitely not worth the $60+ we paid.
