Shalimar Golf Club
Shalimar Golf Club is a nine-hole golf course in Tempe. The course is best for beginners but it has enough challenges in store to make it a great option for more advanced players who want a quick round. The layout is comprised of three par 3s and six par 4s. It weaves through a smattering of mature trees and across gently rolling hills. The small greens can be quite tricky, especially since there are strategically placed bunkers lurking along some. Water hazards come into play on a few holes, including the 155-yard fifth, which is one of the golf course's toughest. You'll have to pull off a carry over the area's biggest lake to a heavily bunkered, narrow green. Shalimar Golf Club's ninth hole is the most well known though, mainly for the island green. In addition to the water, there are also four bunkers surrounding the green.

Very small well kept greens. Par 4's are easy to reach in two, but because the greens are small not as easy as it looks. There is a run-up to most greens which adds to the challenge if you miss. The staff is friendly and knows my name.
Easy 9 hole course. Conditions not ideal. Lots of mud. Staff was amazing and very friendly. 90 minutes it took us to play. Carts are nice and well-kept. Will definitely play again.
Good value for the money. Friendly staff. Good course for beginner golfers.
You almost get what you pay for
I've played here 20+ times. It's relatively cheap but once you get there it'll make sense. Course always looks like it's in a drought. No marshalls or starters will ever be on the course. This is a golf/footgolf course so prepared to have soccer balls flying by you and kids running around. If you book in the morning the retirees might be quick but there's usually a 5-some out there at some point. In the afternoon it's just as bad because of the price. Pace of play isn't a thing at this course so have fun in the AZ heat all day on a 9-hole course.
Nice nine hole neighborhood course
Shalimar is tucked away in an older neighborhood. The price was appropriate for the course and the staff was terrific! I would play it again particularly as a warm up for a week of golf in the area.
9 Hole course
It's a 9 hole course that charges $27 for 18 holes with a cart. Do not expect too much and be patient because it does attract beginners. Fun course with very good greens, fairways could use some attention.
Just need a little tlc and it would be fine. Small greens. Good value for the money.
Made a 6:07am teetime to get 9 in before work. Unfortunately, nobody showed up to open the place until 6:30. Then as we were about to hit our approach shot on the first hole, we realized that the flags were never put in and had to wait there until they arrived. Overall disappointing experience.
sunday nine with wife
Course very busy and slow today ,showing signs of wear from this year ,slack on the maintenance.
A nice test
A bit of a challenge for the occasional golfer. Well worth a visit.
Been a while
I used to live in Tempe and moved several years ago. It was just right for me, been working on my short game and it was good for that.
I was pleasantly surprised coming to this course. It was a heck of a lot nicer than I thought it would be and an all around fun course. It was definitely worth the hot deal I got on GN and maybe more.
Foot golf a problem!
All was fine except for the family of four (2 adults, 2 kids) playing foot golf in front of us. They constantly crossed the fairway in front of us causing many delays and disruptions to our pace and timing.
Not worth the drive
Drove 25 min to save and was thoroughly disappointed, not worth the hot deal price.
