West at Eagle Valley Golf Course
About
The West Course at Eagle Valley Golf Course winds through the Carson City foothills at the base of the Eastern Sierra. The links-style layout features an interesting variety of holes that provide a formidable test for even the most advanced players. The fairways are lined with native desert vegetation that grows tall enough to provide some challenge and several water hazards are strategically placed throughout. The dramatic elevation changes in the rolling landscape also require forced carries. Accuracy is vital to doing well on the golf course, offering a true risk-and-reward experience. For golfers wanting a more relaxed round, Eagle Valley offers the less daunting East Course.

Excellent value. Overall very good condition. One of the nicer courses in the Reno/Carson area.
Needed course layout on scorecard
This was the first time playing this course and was very difficult to follow layout and hole configurations. There was nothing on the scorecard, nothing on the cart, nothing at the tee boxes. Seems like a no brainer to have the layout available somewhere for players.

Course is in great shape. Had a good round of golf except for the fivesome playing in front of me.
Good value for a round
Overall it was a great day to play. Course was in much better condition than the East course. Bunkers were a little rocky and muddy on some holes but fairways and greens were in good condition. Play on front 9 was a little slow, but we’re we’re finally able to play thru a very slow group on 12 and we cruised along quickly after that. For the cost we will be back
Disappointed
This is a course we have played often in the past. This time we were disappointed in the condition and pace of play. The course condition has significantly gone down hill since we played it a couple of years ago. We will pick other courses in the area to play when we return to the area. This was a 4 1/2 hr round.
Eagle Valley
Was a nice course and had several downpours two days in a row before playing but course played well even with the amount of rain.
Carson City
Course was a little bit in rough shape, possibly due to a rough winter. Lots of rocks in sand traps. they did send us out in the middle of a shotgun start tournament which was awkward.
Great course deal near Reno
This course is a great deal in the Reno area. You have options of either the East (very easy) or West (less easy) courses. They're in great shape for a sub $50 round.
Nice course. Challenging for mid-hadicappers
My favorite course in the Reno/Carson City area. Usually in good condition.
The bunkers are inconsistent.
Short cut
We were having a good time until the back nine when the rain along with thunder and lightning came.
We had to bail out for our own safety
Course is horrible shape
Golfed here on the west course with a friend. Every hole looks like someone did off roading with a truck. Tire marks everywhere, fairways flooded, cart path looks like an ATV course. They need alot of help here. I know $40 looks like a great price point but honestly, spend your money somewhere else.
