West at Eagle Valley Golf Course
About
The West Course at Eagle Valley Golf Course winds through the Carson City foothills at the base of the Eastern Sierra. The links-style layout features an interesting variety of holes that provide a formidable test for even the most advanced players. The fairways are lined with native desert vegetation that grows tall enough to provide some challenge and several water hazards are strategically placed throughout. The dramatic elevation changes in the rolling landscape also require forced carries. Accuracy is vital to doing well on the golf course, offering a true risk-and-reward experience. For golfers wanting a more relaxed round, Eagle Valley offers the less daunting East Course.

to much fun
Managed to luck out and get out after a tournament as a single. Always enjoy playing this course, cause it really suites my game. Every thing about the course was in good conditions, greens were not to fast and the ball rolled well. Now the fun part, I only encountered one 4 some which let me go through, so the round only took me 2 hrs and 40 min. Way to much fun playing speed golf, I was trying to finish in 2 1/2 hrs. Some times playing by ones self can be a lot of fun. Looking forward to the next round at EVW.
Fun course but some water
The course was in pretty good shape. Greens were in great condition. Some water in the fairways and cart paths which made some holes difficult to drive around.
Eagle valley west
Have played this course many times over 25 years. Weather conditions made the course a little rough this week.
Winter golf
In good shape for winter. The greens were
in very good shape for being winter.
Hazards
Lots of hazards, including Sage brush, water. Course was In really good condition. Helpful staff and a beverage cart was available.
Challenging but fair course
I recommend the west course. I have lots of fun playing this as there are some challenging holes. Play it a few times so you can pick up the nuances. The course is well taken care of with all the greens in very good conditions (except for golf slobs that don't' clean their pitch marks!) Have fun most of all!
OK Golf Course
Had a very enjoyable round with a single we were paired with who knew the course.
Open fairways and decent greens.
The West course is not as difficult as one might expect. It looks longer than it plays and controlled putts do fall. Stay out of the bunkers (rec not hitting from most) and use angles to land advantageously. Really no need to crush drives except perhaps on the fifth, if going for the green in two. A nice complete 18 holes without a funky back nine.
Always a good time
Beautiful front nine with a fiddle fattle back nine. Still fun and probably enjoyable most to beginners.
