West at Eagle Valley Golf Course
About
The West Course at Eagle Valley Golf Course winds through the Carson City foothills at the base of the Eastern Sierra. The links-style layout features an interesting variety of holes that provide a formidable test for even the most advanced players. The fairways are lined with native desert vegetation that grows tall enough to provide some challenge and several water hazards are strategically placed throughout. The dramatic elevation changes in the rolling landscape also require forced carries. Accuracy is vital to doing well on the golf course, offering a true risk-and-reward experience. For golfers wanting a more relaxed round, Eagle Valley offers the less daunting East Course.

Nice Round, Course in great shape!
Second time playing here. Played last year when I was visiting friends. Decided to put the Course on the play list.
Played with a good friend, who lives in the area. We had an excellent afternoon round.
10/9
Everything was good! We just wish the primary rough would be cut down a tiny bit, or that you cut a section of 3 to 5ft along the fairway to have a secondary rough, like the pros get! Also, I know most golfers have GPS, but we do not, it would be nice if you could put up some tiny white poles along the cart paths to indicate 150yds out. No need for a 100 -n- 200 yd ones. just something to gage our next shot. We know you have some plates in the fairways, but they are hard to see/find. The staff was great as always! THANKS~see ya soon!
Good Test at a Good Price
Challenging track that tests every club in the bag. Reasonably priced, and pretty well maintained for a Muni. However greens have been infested with some type of coarse grainy plant that affects putting line
good day
Love playing this course
Hopefully it will qualify me for the free movies tickets
Fun course
ball marks -n- rough
Everything was good, but we wanted to point out a few minor things. Too many of the ball marks on the greens were large, we repaired a lot today. I've have brought this up before recently, it would be nice if you could do the following!!! The primary rough is too thick, is there any way the landscapers can cut a secondary rough that is not as thick, say 3 to 5ft worth?
THANKS~see ya soon.
Nice Course
Overall this is an above average course compared to others in the area. What makes it a four star is the price which was well below other comparable courses. Pace of play was well above average. We played in a shade over four hours which is very good considering it was a Saturday. I would play it again.
Well worth the rate.
Only criticism is thhe 18th tee. Can't tell (first time of course) if it dog legs right or left. I went right - wrong. A sign on the tee "Dogleg left" would be nice. I hadn't played the course ina while.
9/18
We played there about a week ago and noticed the fairways got scalped some, but now they are growing back in look good! Greens good! Sand traps good! We would like to see the primary rough cut down a little, or see the first cut of rough widened.
Thanks You~see ya soon again!
OK
If you are a first time player of this course, it would be very, very helpful if the layout of the hole was illustrated on either the scorecard or the hole number plaque. No illustrations with indeterminate tee markers cause big problems directing the drives on many holes. If you’ve played the course before, no problem.
the rough
We would like to see the primary rough cut down a tiny bit, OR, have the first cut of rough be wider/more of it.
We were glad to see the ball marks (med and large) fixed/filled in, the greens were nice. Everything is good, see ya soon!
Enjoyed this course layott
Staff was great. Greens & Tees were in good condition, fairways were in average condition. There were some locations of standing water in fairways and roughs., However these never came into play during our round. The West course due to it's layout can have a few holes that are challenging, but still enjoyable! I'd recommend this for intermediate players, who will have good time.
Nice Outing As Usual
Played Eagle Valley a few times. West is more challenging with hills and blind landings so an app or watch is helpful, but was stacked up. The East is wide open, visualizable, and forgiving although in a bit less maintained condition. The staff at the Pro Shop was most helpful with a great attitude, even on a day that several employees were out so only had 2 working - well done! The food is excellent bar food and we make the time to eat beforehand or afterward.
Sunday the 21st
This was my first time back in 4 months after cataract surgery, and I was happily surprised by the cart path holes being patched up and the med/large holes in the greens fixed. I didn't want your new carts to be damaged. I played with two other guys, and we all agreed that we think the ruff needs to be trimmed down some. THANKS!
