East at Eagle Valley Golf Course
About
The East Course is one of two championship courses at Eagle Valley Golf Course. Although it is less challenging than the West Course, it offers the same quality and entertainment. Golfers who aren't ready to take on the West will feel comfortable on the East. Situated at the base of the Eastern Sierra in the heart of the Silver Country, the golf course offers scenic views that complement the rustic setting. The layout is wide open, making it ideal for beginning to intermediate players. There are some long holes and a few bunkers but it is a forgiving course that is great for a casual round.

We love eagle valley
The staff is amazing the bar and restaurant it’s perfect for whatever you need on the turn. Rate of play is almost always good to finish in under four hours. A great place for a round or two with your best buds! Give it a try you won’t regret it.. and it’s a great price - clay
Wide open course
Want to feel good about your game? Play here very little trouble to get into. Greens were very flat and soft and in pretty good shape.
Carson November Good Weather
Overall course in good shape considering it is late November in Carson City. The placement of flags was confusing as color of flags did not line up with position of hole on the greens.
Great Lost and Found
Left my $135 Bushnell distance finder on the golf cart and the staff (Bo) found it, saved it and returned it to me the next day. Honesty is so important. Thanks.
Worst playing condition and poor maintenance.
Perfect late fall weather with clear sky and beautiful nature backdrop should have been the ideal playing of a round of golf but no. It’s a shame that this beautiful course has been left so neglected and mismanaged. The design was so bad that players can see at least five or six fairways all together but it was still a good course just six months ago. Now, the cart paths are damaged, fairways are full of potholes and duck refuse. Greens are fast enough but damaged, divots and duck dung. Bunkers are filled with stinky brown waters deep 4 inches. No marshal to control some rowdy and unmannered players who were continuously hitting into us, even to the greens.
Pro shop staff were friendly and courteous and not much helpful. There were ample supplies of merchandise in the shop. I don’t think we will return to this course until we hear that they have improved the conditions. It was not worth driving up there and spent two nights in a hotel just to play here. Maybe later. Sorry.
Another great day
In general the course was great, but there were several places that were over watered and muddy.
The sand traps were really just hard pan and most were wet with several inches of standing water. A plus if you went in the sand but stayed out of the water.
The greens were well maintained but super fast. That added another level of difficulty putting but that's part of the fun.
Overall, a forgiving course with good play.
I even got to watch a coyote stalk a hawk about 30 feet away!
Nice day
Enjoyable day at the East course. Very playable with wide fairways and not many hazards. Some holes in tough shape as there were super flooded areas. Aside from that in decent shape.
Water everywhere:bunkers, cart path, fairways and even on some greens.
Beautiful weather, friendly staff and players but the course was barely playable due to water everywhere. Some bunkers were filled with water so deep and full that if a ball is dropped there it would be submerged totally. Duck feathers were flying around the greens also. All in all, the course is barely playable, We didn’t stop playing because it was very cheap. Otherwise, we would have stopped playing after a few holes.
Good Deal for An Average Course
TeeOff Deal was nice. The course is at best an average course for the money. Many areas of the course was over watered and several places were swamp like due to the over watering. Saw several signs of deep gouges in the turf where the carts ran into swampy ground. My golf partner got his cart stuck (mid fairway) in muck and I had to help bail him out. Seems so unnecessary to waste water like the course does. Understandably, it’s recycled or waste treated water, but nonetheless an overkill. Especially in an arid area like Carson Valley and when the area is experiencing severe drought conditions, the over watering seems excessive and wasteful.
Golf
Course was in great shape, we had a great day on eagle Valley east. Greens, fairways were awesome shape, bunkers and traps need some love, but I'm not complaining AWESOME!
