World Tour Golf Links
About
International World Tour Golf Links offers a unique golf experience where you can play replicas of the most famous holes in the world. Though it is situated in the Carolina Forest section of Myrtle Beach's Grand Strand, you will be transported to nine states and three different countries during your round. The golf course features holes from the four major championships: the Masters, the U.S. Open, the British Open, and the PGA Championship. Each hole was carefully crafted to follow the original design, featuring all the same challenging hazards. The toughest hole on the golf course is arguably the short, but intimidating third. Inspired by the 17th hole on the Stadium Course at TPC Sawgrass, this par 3 is known for the island green that leaves no room for error.

Better Alternatives
Have selected this course for last 5 years as finishing course for annual vacation, tolerating the condescension from inside club house staff, appreciating the helpfulness of outside staff, frustrated at deteriorating course conditions from year to year, only to keep legacy with my son. Yesterday was final straw. $59 + tax per player, (3) in total, $50 photo shoot, 'look down your nose attitude from inside staff', I'm done. Finished. Not going back.
Course conditions are at best marginal, greens very very sandy, No. 4 has sink hole on green, have to play an alternative hole as replacement, pace of play is horrible, jammed, wait, wait, wait...hit, then wait, wait, wait.
Not the course I remember 5+ years ago...would NOT recommend!
This is one of my favorite courses in myrtle beach. The 18 holes resemble famous holes throughout the world. The course is in excellent shape. It is a challenging 18 holes to play. The only issue I have is one of the holes resembles the 12th hole at Augusta, the pros play it at 140 yards and at this course it's 175 yards. Why do amatures play it 35 yards further than Jordan Spieth, Dustin Johnson, Phil, Tiger and all professional golfers.
The practice area is very good. Great place to work on your chips and drives.
The staff is very nice and friendly.
Starter Ruins the experience
Let me start with the course itself. The weather was perfect and the course was in very good shape. The greens were very nice (we were the first group out). The course is kind of a novelty so you have to keep that in mind when playing, but if you look at the quality of how it is kept it was very good from tee to green.
Most of the staff were very nice and accommodating. The problem was with the starter. From the start he was very condecending and rude. He told us to play slow so we didn't stack up at the turn and then had someone come out and tell us we needed to pick up the pace. When we hit the turn we went into the clubhouse to use the rest room and grab a bite to eat and when we came out he yelled at us to hurry up and said there were bathrooms on the course and a cart girl for food. Then we were stacked up after the turn so I don't know what the hurry was for. Then the worst came on the 18th green. We were all on the green waiting to putt. My buddy was standing over his putt and the starter walked up on the green, in the middle of our group and grabbed the pin and walked to the fringe. We all just stopped and looked at him and he just stood there. When we asked what he was doing he threw the flag down and stormed off the green. I have never seen anything like it.
A Golf Experience All Should Enjoy
This was our second time playing World Tour and it is a tremendous golf experience. The staff there truly makes it a great day from the moment you step on the grounds and receive your "passport" to the moment they bring your clubs to your car. The course is all replica holes from around the world, which also means many of them are very difficult. The holes include 4 from Augusta, 2 from St. Andrews, as well as 17 at TPC Sawgrass. The course was in fantastic shape from tee to green. I highly recommend the course to anybody who is a golf fan!
great fun
really neat experience playing holes you see on tv. course was firm and fast with a mixture of fairly easy to fairly difficult holes. Hope to play it again someday.
World tour
I was very sceptical prior to playing this course, I thought the idea of a replica course was very gimmicky. But it turned out to be a very fun course to play. Good selection of holes, greens were in great shape and had many tough breaks. Definitely a shot makers course. The service was very good from the moment we arrived. Although there was 1 hour frost delay, the pace of play was not overly long. It was definately a great experience and one that is worth checking out. Even though it may not be one of the great courses on the strand, the conditioning is great and it's as close as most of us will ever be to playing the real thing.
Nice Experience
Course is n Great Shape. Staff was vey accommodating , Cold towel at end of the round was very nice since it was hot. Pace of play a little slow but OK......
Fantastic experience & service
We had a great time at WTGL this past weekend. We have played before, a few years ago, and also enjoyed it then. The staff treat you like gold, and make sure you don't have to lift a finger. Throughout the round, the marshals are constantly making sure you are satisfied and having a good round. The course is fun to play, and in great condition. Definitely a must if you have never played here before.
Another great experience!!!
Played this course 10 years ago while on vacation and loved it...after playing today I have the exact same feeling. Very well kept for July in Myrtle Beach; the Staff was friendly and the cart girl was super nice, allways available and easy on the eyes!!!
Awesome course
Played this course twice this week. It is in excellent condition. The greens were receptive and rolled true. Fairways were like carpet. My favorite holes were the Troon postage stamp, Augusta 12 and 13, and TPC 17 island green. All of the staff from bag drop on were very friendly. The end of the round mint towel was a nice touch and much needed. We will definitely be back to play here on our next visit.
O.k.
The St. Andrews holes were cool. Conditions of the greens and fairways were acceptable for summer in MB. Tees were awful. Much of the rough was very unkept and needed mowing, etc. Amen corner was ugly and unkept. If you pay to play replica holes, they should be close to the same quality and appearance, not just topography. Pro shop guys were great, very nice. Clubs on the oversized cart were a bit much, just a money grab for tips. Took 20 minutes to leave, and there were 5 cars in the lot. Club guy disappeared somewhere. Overall it was worth it, but could have been better.
Over-rated
I was suggested this course when my other options were closed for aerification. When first reading about it, I thought it would be really cool to play the layout of different holes from the tour. Well pace of play was pretty slow and the conditions just weren't that great. It came off more as a gimmick than true justice to the holes. The greens were bumpy and slow. Save your money and play something original, not a poor reproduction.
Great all around $
This course was very well kept and each hole resembles different holes around the world almost perfectly and is a steal for the money at only 50 bucks. Practice facilities were good and greens and fairway were in great shape but greens were a tad slow. Highly recommend to friends!
Great course great staff
We were a group of two foursome. The staff were very nice. Great driving range. The course was ok not super. very clean course. At the end we were at the club house and we ask to play again. We just paid for 4 golfer and jump on the course.
One of the better courses I've played in Myrtle Beach
Played the course while on vacation and it was worth it. The course is in great shape, the greens are fast and roll true. The holes are very picturesque and make you feel like you're standing on the signature holes of the greatest courses in the world. Will definitely play again.
World Trap
This course was in awful shape. The greens were bad. The fairways were bad. This course was just plain bad. It is comparable to a $25 municipal course. If you want to throw money have at it. I have played the World Tour in Houston and it was worth it. This one is on our list of courses not to play EVER again on our annual golf trip. We are down in April and August/September every years.
Worth a try
Played this on first day of golf trip, but the course was really wet. Starter was great, paired me up on first nine and played single on second nine. Cart path only made for a lot of walking, and wet conditions even closed one hole. The emulations of great holes worked ok at times, not at times. For a senior golfer it was good to play once.
Bad conditions overall
The course was very wet, it's not worth the money. On the 18 fairway we drove in the middle of the fairway but could not find our balls since it was so wet, the staff told us that even during the summer that fairway is wet
Play golf around the world all in one place
On some of the holes, you have to squint a little to imagine you're at Augusta or English Turn or St. Andrews. Just a little. For the most part, World Tour does a great job in recreating some of golf's most famous holes and since most golfers have never played the real courses, they really don't have much to compare it to. Better yet, however, the holes are just fun. And in some cases, like the Olympic Club facsimile, you'd never know that it was a copy of the original, but it really doesn't matter.
Like being a Pro for a day!!
The friendly guy at the gate knows your name when you arrive. They take your clubs and send you to the clubhouse. Guy in the clubhouse was very friendly and sends you out back where your cart (w/ gps) is ready togo. Plenty of balls on the all grass range (no stupid turf mats). Course was in perfect shape. I felt like a pro for the day (until I started golfing). Course was challenging, but not unplayable for a hack like me. At $60, this is the best value you will ever get at a golf course. They wipe your clubs down and give you a wet peppermint towel for your neck at the end of the round (are you kidding me). A must play in Myrtle.
