Blind par 3 was fun! Photo submitted by Logan5691443 on 08/23/2020
Unbelievable!
This course is so unbelievable bad for such an up and coming area. It appears to be getting a good amount of play and the price is outrageous, one would think it would be a little better or at least playable. Must be miss allocation of funds. Put some capital into your greens and make it playable. Please.
Not worth the price. 😡
The entire course needs lots of work: tee boxes, greens, sand traps - terrible, considering the price paid.
Oak knoll
Course conditions were terrible! Staff should have told us most of the course was under water. I know they couldn’t help the rain, but honesty prevents bad reviews! We would never have played!
Surprisingly tricky
I was surprised how challenging this course was. Almost every green is like a turtle back and if you don’t hit it high and stick it, it’s rolling off. Despite that, the greens were in good shape. A lot of really narrow fairways and tee shots. One tee shot is uphill and blind and can be dangerous in my opinion since it is a par 3 and you can’t see if the green is clear. If you drive up to check it slows down pace of play, which was already slow. There was a good distinction between the fairways and the first cut. I’m sure it looks really nice in spring and summer. The tee boxes need some TLC. They are very chopped up and uneven. I thought it was a tad overpriced for the condition.
Very interesting course. Small greens, especially on the front 9; layout looks typical for a course built in 1920's. Very nice people there made for an enjoyable experience. I'll play there again and recommend it to friends.
I could do without the 220 yd par 3 blind tee shot to a green smaller than my living room, tho. Challenging is one thing, but that hole needs a redesign.
Really nice course!
Really enjoyed our day @Oak Knoll, was told they are under new ownership. A lot of work has been done there. The greens were pretty good. They have done work on them lately. The club house was really nice, the food was great. Good pace of play on a really hot day.
Overgrown with stagnant water
Nat heaven, big fairways with extremely small greens. This course layout is pretty dang good compared to the condition it is in. There has been a lot of rain recently so I do understand the growth
It was in great condition when I played with my buddy in the beginning of the year but when I return during the summer I was disappointed on how bad the greens were. It is a cool course all together but if it was kept up like it should be then it would have great potential
Go to Carter
Greens are terrible. Range is a joke. Fairways are not taken care of so you will lose plenty of balls in the high grass. Do not play here. it is not worth the headache. Go to Carter.
Poor greens
Very busy and slow play. Greens are terrible even for winter.
