Small elevated greens
Small, elevated well maintained greens. Average fairways and tee boxes. Decent course layout and inexpensive green fees.
Really good value for a course that is always in very playable condition.
Oak Knoll has come along ways in improvements
Good pace and while the elevated sloped greens take some getting used to, the course was in good shape except for sanded greens. It had been a while since I played here and it has improved since the last time I played.
Ragged fsireays
The fairways wete a little ragged todsy. Apparantly they had been airated
But airated holes were the size of golfballs; especially #18. Otherwise good as usial.
Had the course to ourselves
Course was a little wet from rain the day before but wasn’t bad. Had a great time. Weather was cool and no pressure from other groups can’t wait roger back
Rained out
Greens were crazy fast. Enjoyed the round until we got rained out on the 13th hole. They gave us a rain check for 9 holes, so I thought that was pretty cool.
Nice greens, average fairways
The small elevated greens were in great shape. The fairways were average at best. Price is very good. Staff is always very friendly.
Pace of play
Played 2 days back to back both days had to deal with 5 somes. Most of the greens were good but some had some bare spots. Same with the fairways.
Best course in area
Excellent day. Wet on the outer areas, but the fairways, bunkers and greens were in great condition. Staff friendly & helpful. There's not a better place for golf anywhere in the area---Challenging but fair. I drive over 100 miles round trip to play and never regret it. Play there every other week, sometimrs more.
Steadily improving
This course is definitely worth the money. They are improving the course and it’s looking good. They also have a great pro to help your golfing needs.
winter golf
the course was wet , lots of leafs, broken limbs and mud. If you stayed in the fairway all was well, but don't dare get in the ruff or wooded areas. (bad news) The greens were in above average shape for this time of year and overall it was an enjoyable round of golf
Southern charm
My second time playing this course, lovely oak and moss, not too difficult until you approach greens, most are elevated and sloped in all directions so miss chips will blow up your scores like crazy. I still enjoyed it a lot and staffs were courteous and friendly. Thanks for a good game!
Excellent
Play here very often. Excellent as usual. Today the pace of play was a bit slower than usual since a number of golfers more than usual were out.
Winter time and we
Played for the white tees. Weather was great for this time in winter. Course wet, so expected some issues here and there. Nice old style course not super long but the small greens are a real challenge to hit. Need to work on my chipping game. Staff was excellent. Pro shop on other side of the clubhouse. For the money was a good course Tom play. Par 3 on the fron blond and 190 yardw with trees to block any push or pull was a little crazy.
Everything was in good shape considering all the rain, sleet and snow that came earlier in the week.
Holiday Round at Lunch
Great round on nice course. Only detrimental conditon was that the local yacht club accumulated at the course for an unannounced noontime game, which put us (12:10 time) behind two slow 5-somes.
A Hidden Treasure
Found the course online. Lot of oak trees and most of the greens are raised and have drop offs all around, but other than the fact that it was cart path only due to the recent rains, it was a good round.
